    Truly enchanting post, Jane, with all the scenes around the world of rainy days. I liked how you added movement to some of the photos, especially the USF Downpour, and celebrated the colors and the grays. You brought the magic of rain out in every photo, and took us high like the tall building looking down, and low, as in the fun little child. While I thoroughly enjoyed every single photo, the one I heard myself gasp on was “Umbrellas, Bergen.” Stunning.

    Love this series…. with some distinct favorites worth revisiting! We’ve been having some wild fluctuations here with rain, snow and sun and freeze oscillating wildly. Doesn’t get boring at any rate. And we can surely use the moisture. 💞

      Thank you, Frank. Made for a fun collection as we use our umbrellas a lot these days! The snowfall has been a real excitement and the amount of rain has been astounding. Crossing fingers for positive drought relief. ☔️🙂

    What fun, Jane, and very celebratory. Hot colors in the rain (NYC) – that’s a wild concept! What a radical switch from that to the SF black-and-white, which has such a contemplative mood. Both Tokyo scenes are striking designs – I can just see you scanning the street from a hotel window…
    I love the palette in London Grays – it’s so balanced between warm and cool. The Bergen photo is crazy – was there a festival where someone was handing out umbrellas or something? The San Francisco alley has so much atmosphere – I love that one. That and the SF downpour are my favorites.

    A brilliant, artistic take on the rain, Jane. The opening shot is so good, each showing a unique and different perspective of rain. The image of the child is the definition of “happiness is…” Such a great series, and while sunshine is amazing ~ there is magic to be found in the rain. Enjoy your weekend.

    Outstanding! That shot looking down at the crosswalk in Tokyo is fascinating (where the heck were you when you took it?! 😊☂️🛩️ ) I love the “Happines is…” shot with the little figure, I assume off hunting for puddles to jump in. And a “Hard Rain, S.F.” is going to be on the cover of a hard-boiled detective novel, I’m sure of it.

    Truly stunning images and wonderful diverse locations, shapes and colors. Extremely well done!
    When I think of rain, three things quickly come to mind: playing in the rain as a child; Gene Kelly’s marvelous dance/song, Singing in the Rain; and the song, Her Comes the Rain again by the Erythmics. Stay dry if you can.
