I follow several photographers’ blogs, mostly because I know my own hobbyist dreams are excited by the visual poetry I see in them. Jane Lurie is one of my favorites. Her images never disappoint! I encourage y’all to enjoy this post of hers and to follow her and spread the word.
Just catching up on some posts I missed, and so glad I did as you have your usual fantastic selection here! No favourites this time, I like them all equally 🙂
Thanks, Sarah. So glad you enjoyed these more intimate shots. I know what you mean about catching up…it’s a challenge! Your visit is much appreciated. 🙂
Spectacular, Jane. When hiking the trail, there is so much to take in and as a birder I find myself most attentive to the birds. So it is with utter pleasure that I studied the glorious details highlighted in your photos here, Jane. Nice that you featured all the stages of life here, including the End of Summer. My two favorite photos were the inside of the lily, creature-like; and the elegant blooming hydrangea. Thanks so very much for sharing these marvels.
Thanks very much, Jet. It is a revelation to study things close up. I enjoy slowing down and making images of these small wonders. Pleased those images in particular spoke to you. 🤗
Haha, Frank! Such high praise from you, made my day. But I would make one amendment to change inadequate to “feel so inspired!”😃Thanks so much for for looking!
Thank you, Alison. It’s fulfilling to go close at times to appreciate the smaller wonders in life. Was pleased with the Coneflower…glad you like that shot. 🙂
Such a nicely varied series. ‘Windblown’ really appeals to me. But then that lily does, too! (I can smell it!). And ‘Bonnie’s Favorite’ springs to life. The limpets and barnacles are interesting because we have them growing together on rocks, too, but not like that. The rocks I see at low tide aren’t as uniformly covered as this one. ‘Early Arrival’ may be my favorite…and I think it took courage to end with that proudly senescing daisy. (Maybe I just want to use that word). 😉
Hi Lynn, Always enjoy your reaction. I managed to fit in some close-up shooting on my recent trips and it is such a relaxing time to get lost in nature. Had to include one of my fave genres of flowers as they senesce (great word) … I fear it describes me, as well! 🤣 Thanks so much.
The Sitka Spruce tree image with the moss and fog is delightful. Trees I find most difficult to photograph. You’ve done well with capturing their beauty and their connection with nature.
How nice to read, Tim. I was happy to get a few mossy tree shots, and I agree, it’s a real challenge to isolate a composition in a foggy, dense woodland. Pleased that shot spoke to you- thanks very much.🌲😊
Great album! That last shot of “fresh as a daisy” after a night on the town provoked a mixed response, sympathy, poor thing, but it’s so bedraggled it almost made me laugh, too.
