  18. I feel like I just took a bath in sunlight and color! Thank you! Fabulous, happy tulips! #1, 6, and the last are my favorites – I like the stripes or layers of colors. And let’s not forget the maple! Love that, too. You really nailed the light here – everything is so bright but still so saturated, yum!

  20. Tulips everywhere. Nice contrast between the Japanese Maple and the cherry blossoms. The daughters and I will be in your neck of the woods beginning Monday for two weeks of horse shows. If you and family want to come and watch …

  26. So many beautiful tulips! Mine are slowly beginning to open, I want them to wait a while as I have other spring bulbs to enjoy and I really want spring to last for a few months. It always seems in such a hurry!

    • Thanks, Jude. The tulips at Descanso Gardens were at their peak this week. Hard to believe they are almost done. Agree, wish spring wouldn’t go by so quickly– sad when the heat comes so early in SoCal. Glad you enjoyed these! 🌷😊

  27. While I am definitely an autumn guy, there is nothing quite as uplifting as spring. As your beautiful first photo says “Joyful Enthusiasm” is what those first days of spring feels like. This weekend we had perfect spring weather to get out and feel the fresh air, the smell of the trees and climbing over the peaks to take in the start of this great season 🙂 Wonderful post, Jane. Happy spring!!!

    • Hi Randall, Growing up in the northeast, I always loved the feeling of winter finally subsiding and spring breaking through with the crocuses blooming as the snow disappears. Glad to bring some happy colors your way. Enjoy the warming weather and emerging spring! Thanks so much. 💚🌷🌺
