Hi Jane – I am getting caught up on some posts and like your Black and whites (mono) and quote – and while they have a nice mood and freshness

Sometimes it makes me
Really
Appreciate color

Hi Yvette, Thanks for stopping by. I’m pleased you enjoyed the monochromes- the absence of color makes the brain shift. Hope you have a happy Christmas! 🎄

Fantastic black and whites, Jane! I’m sorry I’m so late but it doesn’t change the view from here, which is of a wonderful, minimalist take on your surroundings. I think that’s a Tulip tree in the first photo, one of my favorite trees from back east. They aren’t planted enough around here. Their golden fall leaves look beautiful in your photo, blowing every which way, love it. Both birds-on-a-wire images are beautifully composed – just what’s needed, nothing more. I like the crow, the tangle, and the spider web, too. The skeleton is funny hiding behind those ferns – perfect tones and textures there! A belated Happy Halloween to you, and have a great weekend, too.

Hi Lynn, So glad you like these- the fog just made the whole day monochrome. I didn’t know that was a tulip tree but was thrilled how the yellow leaves converted – looked almost infrared to me. I’m a bit obsessed with birds on the wires. Thanks so much, friend! 🙂

Thanks, Amanda. I was quite surprised when I converted the first image to monochrome and I loved it. Those are bright yellow autumn leaves. Glad you enjoyed! 🙂

No doubt for me today. The first shot is my favorite followed closely by the spider web. I’m ambivalent about that quote, as I Iike color a lot too. 🙂

Thanks, Janet. I was really pleased when I converted the leaves to B&W. (They are bright yellow which I’ll save for another day.) The dewy spider web was a nice little gift. Agree, color and black and white each have their places. 🙂
