  8. Fabulous! I love ‘Danish Commute’ … there’s something vintage about it, along with the movement of the composition that is very appealing. The color in others is breathtaking! ‘Window Reflection’ & ‘Window Dressing’ are subjects close to my heart and very well-executed.

  11. Traveling within the mind can be so rewarding, and I think one of the great things about photos (especially for the photographer). Great use of both B&W and the boldness of color… reflects Copenhagen well. The B&W Danish Commute is so perfectly Danish, but then of course you finish with perfection, the color of the classic Danish charm. Beautiful work, Jane!

    • Hi Randall, I’m pleased you enjoyed these travel memories. And you’re right, I treasure photographs for many reasons, most important to remember! 🙂 Hoping to get back to Scandinavia again someday.
Great to hear from you. Hope all is well with you and yours during these strange times.

  17. I don’t know if the Danish commute would work here … not unless someone would be thinking the other kind danish (pastry), and then it would work, lol. Smørrebrød, did you sample?

    Hope you are well. 🙂

  28. So beautiful. All those bikes makes me feel claustrophic, as does the commute. Did you travel to all these places for pleasure or business if you do not mind me asking publicy?

    • Thanks, Lisa. We traveled to Scandinavia a few years ago for pleasure. Our days of business travel are behind us. The number of bikes in that one photo is almost comical but it does convey the passion that the people of Denmark have for cycling as a main mode of transportation, all year round. 🚲😊

  30. Ahh, thanks for taking us to Copenhagen today, Jane. I have never been to this city, so I really enjoyed tagging along with you and having the advantage of your exquisite eye. Love all the unique window reflections and the bicycle images. I loved the Danish Commute with all the bikes, women in dresses with handbags, and bicyclists with serious work faces. And the first and last photos with the colorful buildings and boat scenes were a true joy. Clarity and color extraordinaire.

“Danish Commute” is really captivating, somehow it made me think of a “Workers of the World, Unite!” poster, really striking image!

  49. Utterly captivating captures as always! It’s one of the few places I might have been tempted to endure airplane travel for once upon a time. Such a pleasure to mind traveling with you. I think I recently did a jig saw puzzle of that first image, but without the red boat. 😍 Pity we don’t do more biking here, though the folks braving the traffic along Hwy 101 on bikes never cease to amaze me. Daunting! 😲
