  4. Your perspective never fails to amaze me, Jane. Amazing vivid colours and beauty of nature captured. So hard for me to pick a favourite. The five little goslings one makes me feel warm, fuzzy and cozy inside. Brilliant quote from such a brilliant artist and it ties in beautifully with your work 🙂

    • Your comment means a lot, Mabel. I loved coming upon those goslings and was pleased to capture them staying close to their Mama- (she was not to happy about me being around so I shot them quickly!) Pleased you enjoyed the theme along with the quotes. Thank you so much. 🙂

  18. Could have looked harsh but looks very graceful and delicate the way you saw it. I like it with the white background, too. Turkeys in the Redwoods, who knew? I love that! The goslings and seal (sea lion?) are all the better for your gentle touch. Thanks for the beauty dip. 😉

  27. Cool shoots. Especially that Protea, which I’m not sure I’ve ever seen before. Ever wonder why more people don’t do macro?

    • Thanks, Dave. Isn’t that a cool flower? I didn’t realize how cool until I got it under my lens. Amazing. Macro is a popular genre but I think true macro which is actual size (1:1) is quite challenging and fascinating – ie the insect world. I’m quite happy doing close ups of things that generally don’t move, although I love bees. 🙂

  42. I especially love the fuzzy shots (that first flower and the following one of it and the ducklings). We have a torch cactus, so I know first-hand how gorgeous those flowers are. As the one quote says, you have to look, especially in the case of the torch cactus, whose flowers only last a day (or sometimes less if it’s not) but whose beauty makes that day better. Just an exquisite group of photos.

    • Thanks very much, Janet. The “fuzzy” shots were so satisfying to capture. And while I was photographing the cactus, I was told they only last one day which made my job seem even more important! Kind of sad, really but happy to have witnessed these blooms. I’m glad you enjoyed this series…much appreciated! 🙂
