Beautiful, stunning, jaw-dropping images all round, Jane. Marvelous work. Love how each of them are saturated with bold colours and shades. I also love how light prominently shines through as a defining feature of each image, symbolising some kind of hope for a brand new day. Brilliant all round and hope you are well 🙂

Thank you so much. 🙂
Stunning photography. 🖤
Thanks so much, Amber. A day to celebrate. 😃
Indeed. 😘
One of my favorite blogs to have discovered recently!
She is such an inspiration and from such a young person too. Youth has so much to offer that often is overlooked by us older folks. I was unable to watch live but had NPR on so heard her words.
Dawn is such a hopeful time, offering the possibility of something special with each day. Our country is still mired in distrust and hypocrisy but every day we can hope for better and get a little closer.
Amanda continues to impress with her recitation last night at the Super Bowl. So very gifted.
Agree, Steve. That was wonderful!
A brilliant series by Amanda Gormans…. Thank you for sharing the details.
I’m happy you enjoyed Amanda’s work, Mubarak. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂

Thanks so much, Yvette. I enjoyed making the image captions into its own story. Glad you enjoyed. 🙂
😊☀️
Stunning, poetic images to go along with Amanda’s verse. They are all wonderful and ‘It’s A Beautiful Day’ stands out to me for the unique way it presents sunrise/sunset.
So nice to read, Denise. Thanks very much. Such a cause for celebration. 🙂
What a good scenario! 😍

I love your photographic style Jane!
Thanks so much, Wayne. That means a lot. 🙂
What an amazingly wonderful collection of images you show us here Jane.
Love them all!! The light and colors in the first one is fantastic and so are the Remarkable Morning. The photo “A Door Opens” makes me wonder where you have been or where you are. That image is so powerful. All your photos here are unique, each one in its own way.
Thank you so much, Anita. It’s fun to revisit photos from my travels, especially feeling pent up and isolated. Our trip to Patagonia was a thrill and where I shot the first at Torres Del Paine and A Door Opens at one of the incredible glaciers there. Remarkable Morning is in Australia at the rocks called the Remarkables 🙂 Happy you enjoyed this celebration!
What I think is WOW. Amazing shots, and each one certainly exhibits your level of skill when it comes to using a camera. 👏🏻
Thanks so much, Judy. Happy you like them! I’m glad my passion shines through. ❤️
Wow, beautiful view. I wish I could come there one time.
Thank you, Mai. 🙂
Everything related to nature is good which is nature.
I agree, Amit. Thank you so much. 😊
You are most welcome Jane.😊
A beautiful collection of images for a whole beautiful new era. So happy for you and all my American friends, and for the world. The adults are back in charge. Oh and Amanda Gorman is a STAR!
Alison xox
Thank you, Alison. I appreciate your kind thoughts – the future seems a bit brighter and Amanda is a bright star in it! Hope you and Don are doing well. xoxo
These photos are absolutely gorgeous – and I teared up when she read that poem!
Hi MB, Thank you! I cried the whole day and especially during Amanda’s reading. 😍🌟
Your images are wonderful, Jane. Inspiring. They match perfectly with the optimism of Amanda’s poem. There’s a wonderful TedTalk of Amanda talking about why she writes. She is an inspiration!
Hi Patti, She truly is an inspiration. I appreciate you letting me know about the TedTalk…will definitely look up. Thanks so much for stopping by and I’m happy you enjoyed this celebration. 🙂
These are beautiful I have a photography account on this put nobody looks at my stuff

Love ❤
Michel
Thank you, Michel. And what a wonderful interpretation of the last image. Wow. 🙂
Superb photographs.
Thanks so much, Veena. I’m happy you enjoyed them. 🙂
THESE. ARE. SPECTACULAR! Thanks so much for posting plus Gorman’s words?! Extra impact. Wasn’t she amazing? So much so I ordered her book. I was so impressed by her and her ability to inspire hope. These pictures you posted match the beauty of her message and the promise of a new day coming. Even when I can’t travel your pictures take me there and give me the feelings. Thanks.
Hello Guat, Your comments always bring a smile- thanks so much. Agree, Amanda was glorious– glad you ordered her book — I must look it up. Glad you enjoyed these images and the celebration of a new day. 🙂
I sure did. Your work is totally worthy of the comments plus a high-five :)keep snapping shots as the art of photography is great in your hands.
Nice pics!
Thanks very much, Few-Cents. 🙂
Loved the pictures. “A light shines” and “It’s a beautiful day” are my favorites though.
Thanks so much, Harmit and Piyush. Much appreciated! 🙂
It was a beautiful moment on a day that filled a lot of hearts with gratitude, relief, and – dare I say it? – some hope, finally. I love that youth was represented so powerfully on that day. We need more of that! Thanks for bringing the inauguration and its good feelings back, Jane – the news cycle is so short these days that it’s already beginning to feel like it happened some time ago. I’m not surprised that you had no trouble choosing positive images from your travels and from close to home – they reflect your basic nature, I think. “It’s a Beautiful Day” really appeals to me because it has a quality of bridging opposites – there are the rain and the darkness, but there is the sun and so much beauty, too. Life is like that.
Well said, Lynn. I think many of us are feeling lighter and more hopeful especially witnessing the brilliance of Amanda’s poignant recitation.
I’m so pleased at your interpretation of Beautiful Day…it’s exactly what I was thinking when I included it in this photo essay. I think you get me. 🙂 Thank you for your steadfast support. It means a lot. 🌟🤗
And thank you for yours. 🙂 (That’s cool that you were thinking along those lines about that photo).
Reminding me that the world is a beautiful place. Thank you, for making a difference to my morning.
Thanks very much, Baileystreet. That’s really nice to read. 🙂
Love that first photo, very striking. Amanda’s poem, she was talking about “to make a difference, you need to be a difference.” Most people, however, think to make a difference, it needs to be lofty. It doesn’t. It may be as simple as keeping the smallest of promises to someone you know or don’t know.
Stay well, stay extra safe. 🙂
Hi David, That is so true, what an excellent point. It’s the small acts of kindness that I think will bring the most healing. Glad you enjoyed this celebration of Amanda and new beginnings.
Keep on being safe and healthy. 🙂
Great content✨🌟
Thank you, Innervoice. :)🌟

A remarkable series for Amanda Gorman’s poem. Thank you so much for this post, Jane!
Glad you enjoyed this celebration of Amanda, Amy. Thanks very much. 💕
Wow, more fabulous images! The first is, I think, the Torres del Paine? They never looked like that when we were there, stunning though they were! And I love your raindrops shot, and the bamboo and glacier too. Such positive messages too 😀
Thank you, Sarah. Yes, that’s Torres Del Paine and required a very early wake up call. 🙂 So glad you enjoyed the images and the messages. Much appreciated. 🙂
That shot is worth the early start, however early it was!
Thanks, Sarah. Patagonia was a thrill. 🙂
A great day it is indeed, especially when I start it by looking at your fascinating images, Jane.

Great photos as we are used to from you Jane 🙂
Thank you so much, Rudi. I’m happy you enjoyed them. 🙂
Beautiful images, Jane, but LOL! most poems are not for me, just can’t seem to get into them. But I do hope, more than I can say really, that the US starts moving forward into the light once more – good luck to you all! 🙂
Thank you, Adrian. We can finally see the light and have some hope for the future. If you haven’t seen the video, I would highly recommend clicking on the link to watch Amanda’s recitation. Her gestures and rhythm are captivating and inspiring. 🙂
These are so beautiful. I kept scrolling back and forth..😍
What a nice compliment, Shira. Thanks so much and I’m happy you enjoyed these images. 🙂
I’ve just come across your posts and fallen in love! Your photography is stunning and such a great contrast – truly inspirational – and I’m itching to have a go at painting some of them – simply as the inspiration they are to a newcomer to watercolour painting – Blessings Lois
How nice to read, Lois. Thanks so much. I’m happy they provide inspiration…I’m fascinated by watercolors but haven’t had much success with them yet. Good luck and I really appreciate you following my work.
Your beautiful images breath hope and optimism like the impressive poem of this talented young woman that moved the world!

Not only a wonderful collection, but so fitting to Gorman’s words – who in my opinion, was the highlight of Wednesday’s big event.
Hi Frank, Amanda was a highlight, indeed, punctuating a day filled with unity and hope. Thanks so much.
Beautiful photos to go with a spectacular poem (and poet!).
Thanks, Lex. Amanda is one to be celebrated. Pleased you like the images with a bit of her verse. 🙂

Wasn’t she incredible! I am so full of new hope. And, of course, your photos are also incredible, as always! The light in all was beautiful, but my favorite has to be the first one.
Hi Susan, Amanda was glorious and I agree, feeling lighter and hopeful. Glad you enjoyed the images to celebrate the light. Thank you so much. 🙂

Thanks very much, Ann. Great to hear from you. 🙂
I watched her perform this live and thought it was an incredible poem for the ages! Still can’t believe she’s only 22, from Oakland my past hometown and she has a speech impediment. Goes to show what you can do if you your mind to it! Also loved the photos!
Hi Michael, I did, too, and was enthralled by Amanda’s powerful words and gestures. Glad you enjoyed this celebration of her and of a new chapter. Thanks very much.
