  1. Leaves glorious leaves. Just wonderful Jane…but you knew I would love them all. 🙂

  2. You have clicked Beautiful sceneries of Nature👍🏻

  3. What a beautiful series. One of the pictures I’ve already seen on GB. But the others are really great as well.

  4. Gambar ini sangat bagus sekali, gemercik air yang menempel di kaca mengingat kan pada kenangan akan kekasih di kala hujan

  5. The pictures are just fabulous!💜

  6. Wow, what a beautiful sight for a Saturday morning of Covid-19 😚😚.

  7. Wonderful photos! We’re used to rain here in England but your post is a great reminder that we should appreciate, even embrace it. And photograph it!

  8. The Gift of Rain….is a Gift from Jane!
And as always…good to the last drop.

  9. So very refreshing. Good to the last drop… and you do manage to catch every luscious drop. Your images always seem to put me in a happy place.

  10. You inspire me to do better. Thank you so much.

  11. Love rain on a window. My shots never come out this clear. Did you use a phone or camera?

    • Thanks, Storyteller. I made a project of different effects on rainy windows. Fun to do. I shot this with my Fuji XT-2 and a prime lens. Focusing on the raindrops and setting a pleasing aperture are key.

  12. You have captured such amazing shots! It’s beautiful and natural 🌸🌻💯

  13. These are such beautiful pictures!! I especially loved the quote that said: “good till the last drop” and the picture that you captured with it! Every element in the pictures are so well highlighted!!! 😀😊

  14. Photos are more beautiful than any other..☺️☺️

  15. Wonderful, Jane! Agave Pearls captured my heart. ❤ After the Rain was an optical illusion until I saw the human and got the scale right in my head. 🙂 And I agree with Roger Miller. Rainy days can be happy days.

    • Thanks very much, Steve. Interesting about the scale of that shot…lucky for the tiny human on the landscape. Happy you enjoyed this collection. Rain is so infrequent, I must celebrate. 😊💦

  16. All wonderful! Where can I press “Love!” or “Wow!”? My favourites are Agave’s Pearls, Good to the Last Drop and After the Rain!

  17. These are amazing. I feel refreshed just scrolling through them!

  18. That line of agave “pearls” is quite attractive.

  19. Beautiful pictures, Jane – my favourite is probably the first one. We still read from paper; reading from a screen just doesn’t do it for me, and there is something wonderfully physical about a book, an object of delight. 🙂

  20. Rain is a gift yes , but if we collect rain water then we can use it for plants or washing fruits and vegetables . By this way we can save water

  21. Great photos!! The details are gorgeous!!

  22. Another outstanding collection, Jane. I love the ones when you captured drops. Definitely capturing a moment in time. Not sure what it is, there is something about Tree Impression that I really like. Also, great timing because I have a Rain collaboration next Saturday with one of the commenters above. Nope – not Jude – but she is in the future.

    • Thank you, Frank. I’m driven to capitalize on the few rainy days we get here. Glad you enjoyed– especially Tree Impression, an scene that I was happy to see. Looking forward to your Rain collaboration and Jude’s! 🙂

  23. Really beautiful, Jane, every single one. I like seeing the jogger at the end…the variety of subjects, from the morning papers to raindrops on a succulent leaf and then a window…those leaves all stuck to the pavement with their stems pointing up…the beautiful colors, full of rain-giving life…there’s no doubt that the maker of these photographs was grateful for the rain. It shows and this is a beautiful photographic essay. It makes me want to fly down there and take a walk with you. 😉

  24. Lovely “documentary” about rain drops. We currently have snow here …

  25. I guess it does rain in SoCal (LOL). 🙂 Newspapers, that’s a rare sight these days since most people read the news online.

Hope you and the family are doing well in the lockdown. Our numbers have steadied out, but Laurie says it’s like waiting for the other shoe to drop. 🙄

    • Hi David, Funny, I almost used that song but the lyrics after that line didn’t really inspire. 🙂 I guess some people still like to hold a real paper…or book. Glad you enjoyed- thanks. We are still hunkered down but feel positive about what’s coming. Hang in there. 🙂

  26. Well you certainly know how to capture rain and make it beautiful. The agave shot is just magnificent!

  27. Lovely captures, Jane. In your new climate, rain is a now a rare and precious event. Well captured! ❤
How are the winds today? I read that the St. Ana's are stirring up.

  28. A lovely collection, Jane, and as always eloquent captions. I found “Good to the Last Drop” and “Winter White” to be particularly inspiring.

  29. Do you have an insta handle that I can follow? Love your photography

  30. So beautiful… rain is rare here and I usually don’t mind, but your images make me rethink.

  31. Rain and its subsequent drops are always stunning to photograph, Jane. Beautiful! I still see California weather and more rain is needed across the state. No worries about precipitation in Eastern Washington. Rain this a.m. with a flake or two then sun this afternoon.

  32. Love this collection Jane! Especially Clouds Parting, agave, and last drop. I’m one of those people who feel the rain. Living in Van if you only walked on fine days you wouldn’t walk all winter. I love the days when there’s a heavy rain and I get to see the little creek at the bottom of the gully a raging river. Fun!

    • My kind of woman, Alison. I can imagine the adventures you have in the rain in Vancouver. Everything is so green and lush. I’m pleased you enjoyed this collection.. we are happy for a trickle much less a raging river. 🙂 Thanks so much and hope you are doing well up north.

  33. Your camera keeps safe what has stimulated your sensitive memory, Jane.
You are a poet in images.
    Love ❤

  34. I thoroughly enjoyed viewing your fascinating photo essay on the rain. It is hard to tell which photo I like best. Have a great Sunday, Jane!

  35. Beautiful…..and we need some in the form of snow!

    Sent from my iPad

  36. what a great celebration of rain, especially the first shot, what a burst of colors, now that’s what I call a Party!

  37. Lovely shots, showing the beauty of moist and rain.

  38. You made these normal items look wonderful!

  39. gosh i love rain. here in Australia it is precious. We’re in the middle of La Nina right now and we’ve had a bit of rain which is nice. I have been through entire Januaries where we havent had any rain at all. lovely pics

    • Hi Andy, Me, too. We are in the same situation as you…long droughts and extremely dry conditions. I’m glad La Nina is helping. Thanks so much for enjoying these as a reminder. Enjoy a good walk in the rain. ☔️

  40. These are all gorgeous images Jane 🙂

  41. Particularly love that winter white rose! ❤️‼️

  42. Jane, keep lugging around your camera! The photos are lovely. I like the abstraction in the background of some of the shots.

  43. Wonderful images. Thanks for sharing Jane.

  44. Jane: I always like photographs of water droplet on flowers, plants or elsewhere. I think my favorite is the one of lemons. The lighting is just right.

    • Hi Jack, It’s so infrequent here that I try and take advantage even if it’s just a sprinkle! Glad you like “lemons” especially…was pleased with the light. Thanks so much and hope you and Katie are doing well. 💙

  45. I love that raindrop ‘pearls’ on the leaf image Donna. Absolutely fantastic photo. Well done! 👍👍

  46. Some wonderful images here, Jane. I especially love the confetti opener and the russets of after the rain 🙂 🙂

  47. Raindrops are mesmerising in themselves, seeing the beautiful in the smallest of things. 🖤

  48. remembers little things…gorgeous selection…so fresh! Smiles and joy your way Jane ☺️💫

  49. Nature’s confetti… stunning photo.

  50. Hi Jane – those morning papers stood out to me a lot – perhaps because of the way we don’t really see them in driveways or on or he’s like we used to-
And then the blue wrapper and clear ones and the water
    Nice rain post

  52. We so need rain. Hope to see some soon! These are beautiful, Jane. I think my favorite is “fresh for Picking”.

  53. Jane, these are wonderful, made even more so because I now live in a desert with little chance of rain. 🙂 I especially like that first quote.

    • Hi Janet, Thanks so much. Great to hear from you. Glad you enjoyed seeing a little rain…we’ve gotten next to nothing this year but I ran out when it did rain. I see you moved to Arizona. Hope you are settling in nicely. 🙂

      • We moved at the end of March, right when Covid was getting going, so it’s been a much more circumscribed time that it would normally be. I’ve gotten a few trips in, driving, which I like for the most part. We got a bit of rain some weeks ago and I rushed out to get some shots with drops. 🙂 We’re settling in well, thanks.

  54. When I see such photos, Jane, my reaction is WOW!

  55. Jane these are the most beautiful captures of rain and rain drops.

Love to hear what you think...
