  1. Such an exciting and thrilling experience to capture the following moments. No words for such marvelous photography, the picture itself speaks a lot. Amazing job. My favorite is Lunar Eclipse Over Golden Gate. It is so filled with a refreshing and tranquil vibe.

  2. nice hotography and really good photos

  3. have a nice day

  4. Great moon series Jane! I can never get enough of a full moon myself!

    • Thank you, Wayne. I was lucky to have a great vantage point in SF for early morning celestial wonders. ๐Ÿ™‚

      • I find the moonset after a full moon softer in contrast. I go several days before to watch where the moons orbit is so I can find something to put in the foreground.
Using the bridge is a great mid-ground subject!
I’m always zipping around in my boat looking for one of my eagle friends to be perched perfectly! Meaning they are not perched lower down in the tree where I cannot see the moon in behind them.
I’ve found the best times are the three days before the full moon!

  6. Photos of lunar eclipse look so good!

  7. absolutely beautiful pics! thank you for sharing ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฝ if you get a chance, I ask if you can please check out my photography gallery it would mean a lot! https://shopcoa.blog/photo-gallery/

  15. Simply beautiful. I love the different views of the bridge and the moon. Like the quote about standing in front of something more interesting if you want a better picture.

  18. Totally beautiful images!! The composition, the angles , the colours, so so evocative. Awesome!

  19. All wonderful full moon shots, Jane. The Golden Gate offers so many vistas and you’ve done a fine job capturing so many. I especially like the shot with just the top of the bridge poking up out of the fog…Moonset and Fog.

There certainly is THAT to be said but it might also need a definition of “interesting”… it is what it is! (as much as I detest that overused phrase!) ๐Ÿ˜‹

    • Thanks so much, Gunta. Glad you enjoyed all these lunar moods. I love that simple and wry quote by Jim, a wonderful Nat Geo photographer. And yes, we all have our own vision of what is “interesting”. ๐Ÿ™‚

  23. Completely bowled over by these Jane. Just gorgeous. I’ve never successfully captured a moon shot.

  24. wow! I really love the ones with the cloud over the bridge!

  25. Love the versatility of our one moon ๐ŸŒ

  26. You lived with this view long enough to enjoy some really spectacular sights, Jane. I’m glad you could photograph them so well. The setting eclipsed moon is otherworldly and so beautiful. I love the moonset at sunrise – all those delicious colors – and the moonlight on the water, wow. Magic moments! Then the last image, well, it’s too much! There must have been a mile-wide smile on your face. What a privilege it was to live with that view!
