  1. Great quote and beautiful pictures.

  2. Only you could create such a great post featuring these lovely golden leaves.

  3. Wonderful pictures. Thank you for sharing.

  4. Beautiful❤️

  5. Marvelous collection here celebrates the crisp autumn I love! Thank you, Jane… and the Eliot quote was spot on.

  6. Another beautiful series, Jane, the final sights of a wonderful autumn…it is always a bit sad to watch it leave 🙂 All photos catch the spirit of this time of year, and especially like “Be Yourself” ~ it is a good thought to have as winter is just around the corner. Cheers to a great final month of this strange, unforgettable year 🙂

    • Hi Randall, Thanks very much.
Agree, a bit melancholy to see the season change although it’s happening a bit more slowly in SoCal. Glad you enjoyed these small scenes. We are all just hanging on like the last of the autumn leaves. 🍁

  7. Those pictures are beautiful. Nice autumn for you in California, right? Regards from Prambanan Jogjakarta. It’s a rainy season here. And we’re still at home on this pandemic. So fresh to see colorful leaves.

  8. Nice. Which country is this? 🙂

  9. Just stunning. Love the quotes as well. Autumn lives in the human spirit.

  10. Wonderful quotes and images! I understand the effort involved in these compositions … to find and frame!

  11. I love the way you took a simple subject and stuck with it, Jane. The progression of the series is very nice, and the titles add a bigger context. If I had to choose favorites it would be the first and third. But they work as a group, all together, and of only our country could do that a little better, too. 🙂

  12. The environment is not something around us.
    It is us.

What a self centered notion when we ‘think’ of it…

    Thanks for this reminder.

    Have a great day

    Franck

Are you still on fire watch? I read how SoCal Edison turned off the power just in case the Santa Anas blew too hard.

  20. This is a soothing post. Thanks.

  21. This is a fun collection with great captions, Jane.

  26. These are such stylish leaves (I love the green one too though!) and beautifully framed. Are they the leaves of the liquid amber? I enjoyed the captions too. And Johnny Mercer’s ‘Autumn Leaves’ truly is evergreen 🙂

  28. Beautiful. Amber 🙏❤

  29. I like how the orange and warm colors in the leaves images led us into the pop with “It ain’t easy being green” – it had an effect 🙂

  44. Beautiful photos! Autumn is just an incredible season!

  45. Oh those piles of colorful leaves take me back to a childhood spent raking them into the highest pile only to jump into them and scatter them everywhere!

Love to hear what you think...
