“Come senators, congressmen

Please heed the call

Don’t stand in the doorway

Don’t block up the hall

For he that gets hurt

Will be he who has stalled

The battle outside ragin’

Will soon shake your windows

And rattle your walls…

For the times they are a changin’ “

~Bob Dylan

  1. A new day indeed. And that sentence by Biden was spot on. Congrats to the American people.

  2. A lovely collection … all expressing hope for a new day and change!

  3. Omg!!!
    This is breathtaking 😍😍😍😍

  4. Fantastic celebration, Jane, and beautifully expressed. Thank you.

  5. Inspiring and uplifting Jane during these difficult days. Your images always lift my spirits and give me hope. Lets hope for the best for the week ahead. 💕

  6. Already with that one quote of Biden’s the world is changing. And it is sorely needed. America was on the brink of something awful. That one quote has so many layers and holds much promise. Beautiful photographs to accompany the words. The birds in flight my eyes rested on for quite some time. Thank you for posting.

  7. A wonderful celebration of good tidings and hope for the future, Jane. The words “He won” came out of someone’s mouth today but more followed that is frustrating. However…we just have to weather the next @two months. I think most of us would like to jump for joy. 🙂

  8. What a beautiful post with stunning images radiating hopefulness. What a tense time this has been, and although there are still many reasons for concern there is an incredible sense of relief as there now seems to be a way forward and possibilities for healing.

  9. Amazing 🤩 …..please visit in my page as well…. I hope uh will enjoy

  10. Powerful message..great post and awesome photograph👏👏💐🌹.

  11. Amazing photos. 🌻💛I love photography too especially when my subject is the sky.

  12. Wow! Wow! Wow! I wish that WPress would give us a few more options than just “Like” – similar to Facebook – so then I would always click on “Love” or “Wow!”

  13. Because I’m new here, just wanted to see more. These are stunning. Good, timely quotes.

  14. Just been looking at your photos. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks

  15. Trump is awful in oh so many ways. A dangerous, erratic, narrow-minded jerk. He makes Nixon look good. The world is lucky that Biden won.

  16. i feel this is about some sort of event or something that possibly happened recently. But I can’t quite work it out….

    😛 😛
as we say in Australia – ‘What a bloody relief!’

  17. Just beautiful photos ❤ ❤ ❤

  18. I can imagine the joy in your household Saturday morning…this expresses it well. The quotes are perfect and I love those last two photos, the mass of birds and that big jump for joy. Whew!

  43. These are fabulous, Jane! A new day dawning 🙂 🙂

  44. These pictures are realy amazing !

  45. Like those Kiawah photos, Jane.

A new day dawning, I certainly we will have one on that front. I believe there is more that binds us together as a nation than divides us. For certain, our current political divisions run deep. Most unfortunate, it has led to lost friendships and family relations. Some will see the new dawn with a measure of angst. I can understand it. I have friends in both camps, with “you are either for us or against us” viewpoints. If we remain cordial and respectful, moving ahead will be easier. The middle ground is quite expansive and accommodating.

How much leftover Halloween candy do you have? I picked up some more on final clearance, namely candy corn. 🙂

    • Thanks so much, David. It was nice revisiting my Kiawah images- glad you enjoyed.
The message last night of healing and civility was clear -hopeful the angry division in our country will dissipate. It will certainly be hard work for our leadership.
Ha- no trick or treaters here! I don’t trust myself with bags of candy around. Especially Snickers. 🙂

  46. Absolutely marvelous! Hope and joy resurrected.

  47. Powerful stuff, both the pictures and the words!

  48. Fantastic images and post. I sincerely hope it is a new dawn for all Americans (and the rest of the planet of course!) 😊

  49. Love this post Jane. And thank heaven it is a New Day and the Times They are a Changing. After a flurry of law suits, of course!! Anne

  52. Beautiful photos. Beautiful landscapes. Amazing skies.

  53. Freedom and Joy are my favorites in a nice group.

  54. Beautiful shots and powerful statements! A perfect expression of our hope for a better future! I had been waiting for this outcome for four long years. Thanks so much, Jane! Your voice, in words and in very precious images, is so much appreciated. Thanks again!

    • Your supportive words have meant a lot to me, Fabio. You show that kindness is the answer. Thank you very much for everything. 🙂

      • We are the ones that need to thank you so much for your art, care, editing job, etc. Photographing, writing, or editing, you put so much love in each phase of your work. I know that your husband is a generous collaborator, with all his work behind the scenes. Thanks so much to both of you! Take care!

  55. How do you keep the file size so small with large color images? I try to keep all mine under 700KB max, must be the web designer in me.

  56. Beautiful, of course. And with extra significance!

Love to hear what you think...
