  8. Ahhh Jane…. such uplifting thoughts and images in this time when it’s needed so much! Love the graceful curl of unfurling. Followed by those bright eyes. They can’t help but bring joy and hope. And courage.

BTW… don’t know if you need to know this, but Eric calls our “Awaitings” Angry Panthers. Ours have turned to seed. They seem to be the Official Town Flower of Bandon.

Those nesting Herons are yet another reason to hope. Every image provides that needed measure of hope and cheer and courage.

Interesting how we turn to such precious images to help us through the coming days. Thank you for yours, my friend.

    • Thank you so much, Gunta. Glad these brought a bright spot of hope to your day. That means a lot to me.
I am sure it was you who taught me “angry panthers” to remember agapanthus one time when I posted one and misidentified it. Your trick helped me and I’ve shared it. 🙂 I love them!
Sending positive thoughts for the upcoming week!

  12. The world’s going to be different for that next generation, in ways we probably cannot imagine. But certain things will stay the same – the grace of unfurling seeds, the joy of raindrop-speckled flower buds, the quiet beauty of twilight, and the wonder in her eyes. Thanks for the respite, Jane, and the Anne Lamott quote – I like that one.

  16. Here in Calif. we are surrounded by fires and power outages, Covid and the contentious election…and somehow you have the strength and skill and stamina to create and present this soothing presentation bursting with hope. Wow, Jane, thanks so much. Every quote is different, and all are inspiring, and the photos are vivid and alive and bright and uplifting. I espec. like the first three photos, and the close-up of the loveable baby is heart-melting. Here’s to hope, my friend, it is what makes humans the extra-special mammal.

    • Jet, Your response to this post makes my day, thank you so much. There is a cathartic calm that comes with creating these themes and I’m glad you feel that it all hangs together. Spending time with our granddaughters does give us hope for them that our future will be better.
You sure have a way with words, my author friend! 🙂

  45. I full-on dig your interleaving the images with the quotes. They ho hand in hand. Like Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers… she’s just doing the same amazing moves backwards and in high heels. I resonate that I can’t figure out whether the images or the quotes are one or the other, and settle on… they are both, both. Excellent post, Jane. Just excellent.
