I, too, love palm trees, Jane, and this was an entertaining series of beautiful photos and fun titles. The two that made me chuckle were Palm Symphony (the musical staff interpretation) and the Palm Imposter (the light post imitating palms!). The photos I espec. liked were Palm Party, Palm Romance and Puddle Palms. I never realized until this post of yours how sun images can transform the palm. Wonderful quotes, too.

Jane –
This was brilliant!
First because I love oak tress and this was a celebration of them!
And the Opening quite reminds me of how I feel when I take a trip and see the first palms.
Second, the different images were nicely chosen – the detail was like an Abtsract painting and the imposter was so funny

These are simply marvelous! The “imposter” made me laugh out loud. Love every single one of these. Palm Symphony shows you can actually use what might be considered an annoyance for good effect. (Also created a chuckle here!) Thanks, Jane… I think we’re all needing some light laughter to cheer us up in these difficult times.

You’ve seen a lot of palms. I like Palm Symphony … palms against a decidedly cloudy sky. Took me awhile to catch onto the Palm Imposter. I was looking at the palm trees, wondering which tree didn’t look like a palm. Then, I saw the imposter. 🙄🙄🙄 I can be slow some days (lol).
I hope you’re doing well. The COVID numbers are going through the roof here. It’s worse than when we were under mandatory stay at home back in the spring, and people are kind of ignoring it. Not good. You and your family, stay well and stay safe.

Last night on KLRU-Q (one of Austin’s PBS channels) we watch “The Way We Were” (hard to believe the film is now 47 years old!). At one point the Barbra Streisand character, a New Yorker who finds herself living in Hollywood but missing New York, complains that the palm trees people associate with Los Angeles came (as she did) from somewhere else.
I looked up Terri Guillemets and found at https://www.quotegarden.com/site-info.html that she’s “a book addict, avid reader, and library lover” who’s been “digging up quotes since 1986” and
“online since 1998.” Her last name appears to be a nom de plume, given that guillemets is the French words for ‘quotation marks’ (which typographically in French are « ») .

Beautiful pictures, Jane – my favourite is Palm Detail 1. I envy you being surrounded by so many palms! I have traveled and worked in many hot places, and one of the most evocative sounds for me now is the rustling of dry palm leaves in the breeze: that brings back so many memories. 🙂

Looking up shows the great height. Sunset purple colors are so soothing and Zen vibes. Plus The reflection in the water. Those are AWESOME. Great pics.
