  2. I love shriveled sunflowers. My wife thinks I’m silly. She says only silly photographers like documenting old shriveled up flowers

  5. I’ve always appreciate flowers that have passed their prime and your before and afters are so well done, Jane. I also enjoy your pairing with quotes, especially Fred Rogers’. 🙂

  6. Wow, Jane, this is super. A great concept, beautifully realized. The first pair is great and the sentiments in each image and quote are recognizable. Back and forth we go!

  8. What a wonderful collection Jane. I love the way you’ve tied together all these disparate photos. My favourite photo is actually Sad Together – there’s something about the beauty in decay that appeals to me. And now I have that turtles song as a earworm lol 🙂

  10. Your rose images are so vivid that I can smell them, Fred Rogers is my hero. And the quote from boyhood perfectly captures my current thinking, I am managing through my current ‘big moment’ by remembering all of the glorious little ones that preceded it and hopeful for the many that will follow.

  13. Why am I identifying with still holding on. Please No! This is a wonderful post and a subject many want to either deny or rush to correct. Just life’s journey as it evolves with in all of us!

  14. Actually… wish I could have hit the “LOVE” button. Every image is delicious and the words to go with the moods brought a number of smiles. Honestly, I most of all related to “prickly”. 😀 Perhaps it’s the weather or the itch to roam across the country?

Hope you’re enjoying the change of scenery. 🙂

    • Hi Gunta, Your response makes me smile. I think we all feel the range of emotions these days. Hopefully the prickly ones are momentary. 🙂 We are enjoying new scenery in the sameness of our day to day. Thanks very much and hope you are doing well.

      • Seems as though I can relieve the ‘itch’ by getting immersed in images from previous travels. I’m sure you’ve been doing a bit of the same when posting your marvelous trips. To places I can’t imagine seeing in real life… It’s been a real treat. So, seriously- the prickly is more fleeting for me. The partner, on the other hand, is doing a bit more struggling. Are we likely to get any glimpses of the grandbabies?

  15. Such a nice selection, Jane. I thought the Fred Rogers quote was apropos. Everything begins and ends with the golden rule – be kind, be generous.

Hope your move-in is going well. It took us awhile to get everything out of the boxes, then another couple of months moving the furniture around, and another couple of months of buying something for that finishing touch. The daughters and I are doing okay in NY, but we’d like to have our two hours back. One more week, then it’s home.

    Stay well, stay safe. 🙂

  20. The images are a reminder that life is an accusations of small things which enrich larger fabric. Great ox.

    • Thanks so much, Bruce. Yes, I think that is very true. (thanks to spellcheck– Assume you meant accumulations… of course life is full of accusations, too. 🙂 ) Happy you enjoyed this one.

  30. Love those quotes. I remember listening to that Turtles song when I was young. My elder brother played it all the time. (I shall be singing it to myself all day now! 😊) And when I read the first quote I wondered whether you could turn it around and say the big moments were life?
