Incredibly elegant photos and reflections of this dazzling city, Jane. As a Bay Area resident, I am familiar with all of these scenes, and the many people and constant chaos of these venues, yet somehow you managed to find and present the peace and calm and beauty. Exquisite.
What a wonderful trio of images, Jane – the reds tie it all together. And the bridge, of course! ๐ I love the drama of the first one, with all the “missing pieces.” Very cool!
Ahhh… you capture her so very, very well. Just makes me want to sigh and soak it in. That first image presented such a delightful puzzle in the first moment.
Gorgeous light, Jane. I am noticing in the second image, “Tide pool reflections”, from the first third of the image to left, there is big piece of stranded wood ( I assume), which looks just like an alligator…
Thank you very much, Cornelia. Yes! I see it and it sure does. Fortunately, I haven’t had to worry about alligator sightings since I moved from South Carolina. ๐
Thank you so much, David. The reflections were so vivid that evening! I was looking forward to shooting more the next night and there were none. Happy you like this one, it was exciting to capture. ๐
Thank you, Paula. You are so good at playing with light. Glad you like this trio- it’s incredible how dynamic it is in the city. I spend a lot of time looking for light, as I am sure you do, too. ๐
Jane….I just sit amazed at your effort of time (not to mention your sense of vision) that you put into producing images that inspire so many others. They have me in the process of getting off my arse and behind the camera once again. I carried my camera around the outside around my house. A little shooting at some things, but more just trying re-find my vision. Thanx for your visual & written encouragement….blessings….jw
Hi James, How are you feeling? I’m very happy to read your lovely comment- thank you so much- it means a lot coming from your artistic eye. I hope you are able to get out there shooting again soon. Around the house is a good place to start – I think creating art has a healing effect. Good luck and best wishes. ๐
Traumhaft schรถne Aufnahmen, Jane!

Interesting set of images, especially like the night scenes. I too love reflections.
Thank you, Bruce. Nightscapes are such fun to seek out on clear nights…or foggy ones for that matter. Pleased you enjoyed them.
Three excellent shots! I don’t know if “surreal” is the right word for the 2nd tidal pool shot, but it’s just so eye-catching and fantastic.
Hi Robert, Thanks so much. That’s a fantastic spot in the right conditions. So glad you enjoyed this trio. Much appreciated. ๐
