“Well I spent two days in traveling

The Mountains to the Sea

I knew the change would do me good

And set my spirit free.”

  1. Simply glorious. It brings so much happiness to see your vision for these landscapes. Thank you, Jane.: )

  2. OMG love these…just fantastic!! it’s a great day just blew me away!!!

  3. These are extraordinary, Jane. The first one and Cannon Beach especially but all of them!! I guess the second third and fourth are also favorites. You are mastering the grand landscape photo. :-))

  4. Looks like an awesome trip. You definitely got some awesome photos.

  5. Every photo a beauty Jane. What an eye you have.

  6. Good pictures, Jane >>> Haystack Love really gets to me, the couple add so much and the rock’s shape is impressive and the processing spot on; and also Morning, Cannon Beach – love the blues, and there’s a person here too. A

  7. That first photo is stunning. I can imagine your excitement in having that great light, flowers, and fog. I also like the first beach shot with the small human for scale.

    • Thanks so much, Jeff. You’re right, I was thrilled to see the fog over the valley at Glacier and the flowers were the icing on the cake. And the Oregon coast is always magical. Happy you enjoyed these. πŸ€—

  8. All great landscapes, Jane. A very successful trip for sure.

  9. Your photography is exceptional, Jane! The emotions you evoked through them stirred me deeply. I am in awe!

  10. Beautiful pictures that give to vastly different mood. Love the colorful flowers in the first picture. A good one for greeting this post. Mountain over white cloud, the scene that you just want to spend time savoring it for a while.

The “Haystack Love” is interesting mood. To me, it seems like it is a mythical place with magical creatures and witches and wizards.

    • Hi YC, So glad you enjoyed the varying landscapes and moods here. The fog at Glacier was a gift and again in Oregon creating these mystical feelings. Thank you very much for viewing and sharing your thoughts. πŸ™‚

  11. Beautiful series! Too bad I live in a flat land.. πŸ™‚ I extra like the enormous pointy Rock next to the fragile Haystack Love; The triple layers with their own colors and textures in Telephone Poles; and the curved cornfield under my favorite clouds in Dream a Little Dream. See you!

    • Hi Harrie, Thanks so much for your appreciation. Haystack Rock is pretty famous in Oregon- it’s enormous, as you can see. I’m so glad you like the Palouse photos– that was a great photography experience! See you! πŸ™‚

  12. These are all beautiful, and “It’s a Great Day” just makes me smile, with these tiny figures, on the edge of the ocean, and one kid just dancing with exuberance. Just great πŸ™‚

    • Thank you, Robert. Glad you enjoyed the series, and It’s A Great Day in particular. I was tickled pink to have gotten his little feet off the ground. They were so adorable! Much appreciated. πŸ™‚

  13. Ms Lurie…..somewhere Mr Folgelburg is smiling at his words reflected in your images…NICE stuff…..en theos….jw

  14. Outstanding photographs! I look forward to your future posts.

  15. Cannon Beach, that’s a really gorgeous shot, Jane.

  16. I have such fond memories of these places and you’ve managed to recreate the fond memories with your magic lens. It’s a truly marvelous country we live in. I’nt it?

    Thank you, much appreciated.

  17. What a wonderful post……journey from Glacier looked like you caught a little bit of every geography! Thanks for the tour!

  18. I LOVE a good mountain, but my fave today is the one of the amber waves of grain. I took a similar photo one summer in South Dakota, and it remains my screen saver years later. I find it (and yours) very calming.

  19. It’s always a great day near the ocean. So beautiful and calming.

  20. These are all WOW, Jane! My favorites are the fields with clouds and telephone poles. Outstanding.

  21. No-one does tis type of image better than you do.

  22. Great pics! I see you’ve been practicing πŸ˜‚

  23. Wow. So beautifully captured! These images are perfect for the quote.

  24. Gorgeous work Jane these images are amazing πŸ‘πŸ»

  25. Beauteous Jane. I always sing Fogelberg’s Netherlands when I walk in bear country.

  26. Wow, your photos look absolutely amazing, loved every single one, thanks for sharing and inspiring πŸ˜€

  27. A lot of ‘WOW-factor’ here and like your titles too! I love The Palouse and the minimalism in ‘Dream A Little Dream’. The composition and curves in ‘Morning, Cannon Beach’ are absolutely stunning. Wonderful work!

  28. They are all wonderful! You did a spectacular job!

  29. Texas has firewheels but Glacier has fireweed.

  30. Amazing landscapes. The first picture with the fog in the valley I especially like. You were very lucky to see a sight like that.

  31. Fantastic and beautiful, Jane! The top photo made me say wow!! 😎❀️

  32. ‘The Mountains are Calling’ Fabulous shot!

  33. Beautiful! I hope to be able to see these things in person on day!

  34. Fogelberg had it right and so do you. Well done.

  35. Another beautiful series, Jane. Thank you! ❀

  36. Wonderful as usual! Looks like a great trip, and the Palouse may be better to visit that I would have thought.

Love to hear what you think...
