Hi Patti, Thank you so much! Glad you enjoyed this series. It was startling how bright the Wolf Moon was as it was setting and I just loved how it lit up the bay. 🙂

Hi- Thanks! This image was shot with my Nikon D800 with the 70-200mm f/2.8 Lens. Shot at 4.0 sec @ f/9.0 ISO125. Converted it to BW in LR. I set up both my Nikon and Fuji on tripods- my Fuji 90mm f/2 didn’t quite have the reach to get this scene. So glad you like it. 🙂

Interesting about the 90mm on the Fuji.

Reading those words by Neil Young reminded me of the song “Dancing in the Moonlight” which I believe was originally done by a group called King Harvest, but it was covered more recently by a group called Toploader. It’s quite a catchy tune and it’s been stuck in my head ever since I read this post a few days ago now, I meant to comment at the time but I was busy and I didn’t get around to it. here’s a link to the (not so good) Youtube video, but it’s a nice song with good lyrics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0yBnIUX0QAE

Hi Mike, Glad these brought up some great moon songs for you. Funny, I thought about using King Harvest in this one. A very catchy tune. I used the lyrics in this Super Moon/Eclipse post from last year: https://janeluriephotography.wordpress.com/2018/02/02/moonstruck-in-san-francisco/
Thanks so much for your visit and sharing a comment. Happy you enjoyed it! 🙂

I remember that post, but I didn’t make the connection with King Harvest, as I’d never heard of them until I looked up the song on wiki the other day. They’re great pics in both posts anyway. 🙂

Moonset at Sunrise and Moonlit Bay are such thoughtful evocations of all that love you and so many others have for that particular place. Wonderful. I love “Rock” too, for the crisp tones and vividness. I hope you’re enjoying the week, Jane. (Aren’t we glad we’re on the left coast today?)

Fishing the surf, with those kind of waves, better to wait for a calmer surf. The favorite in this series is “Moonlit Bay”. That is one gorgeous shot.

Hi David, It makes me wonder if people are aware how powerful and sneaky waves can be. Pleased you like Moonlit Bay. It was so beautiful as the moon set and with the contrasts, I pictured it in black and white. Thanks very much!
