Beautiful! Is this your husband, the man with the umbrella? Great model for the picture 🙂 😉 Have a fine day, Jane

Thank you, Heidi. No, that man just happened to pass by….my husband was waiting for me in the car…smart, given the weather. 😉 great to hear from you and hope you have a wonderful day, too!

This is a truly smashing shot. It reminds me of one shot of James Dean – do not ask who the photographer was!

I think you mean the one where he’s walking in the rain in NY. It does have a similar feel!

Yes, that’s the one.
It was featured on a blog by another photographer I follow, Bill Jones jr. who, with his wife , wrote a history of Street Photography.
Here’s the link.

Amazing! What a wonderful mood and scene. Despite the rain you captured a really beautiful moment. Robert has right: it is still from a film noir. And it is definitively a great shot and still a fine study in black and white.

Trying to make out what sort of ‘hut’ that is. 🤔

Hi Gunta, It’s called the Warming Hut and it’s a small shop near the GG run by the Presidio Parks. I think this man ducking in there was the only customer in this storm. 😉

Judging by the look of that rain, a warming hut sounds like a great idea! 🔥

Great atmosphere! I agree with Jane Iwan – – like a still from a film noir. “The gumshoe plodded through the driving rain toward the meet-up, one hand holding an umbrella to keep his deck of Luckies and the twenty large in his breast pocket dry, the other on the butt of the heater in his right coat pocket…”
