  2. This is a truly smashing shot. It reminds me of one shot of James Dean – do not ask who the photographer was!

  7. Amazing! What a wonderful mood and scene. Despite the rain you captured a really beautiful moment. Robert has right: it is still from a film noir. And it is definitively a great shot and still a fine study in black and white.

  10. A Lovely Contradiction -rather dreary environmental scene and tonality contrasts with such a smart, impressive composition!

  24. A wonderful picture this is! Every photographer should have a pool of volunteers going out in bad weather. And-ehm… a yes! Go out themselves as well! 🙂

  25. Most atmospheric, and certainly more than a little ‘noir’, Jane!

  26. Great atmosphere! I agree with Jane Iwan – – like a still from a film noir. “The gumshoe plodded through the driving rain toward the meet-up, one hand holding an umbrella to keep his deck of Luckies and the twenty large in his breast pocket dry, the other on the butt of the heater in his right coat pocket…”
