Okay, now I am extremely homesick! Oh Jane, living on the central coast of California for almost 20 years, I know these sights from our travels so well. My author FB header shows me looking out over Montana de Oro with the same rocky terrain and pristine skies. After the ‘Beast from the East meets Storm Emma’ blizzard raging through the West Country of England this past week, your photos are a joy to behold and a promise of the spring to come to our colder climes. But I am desperate to return to California for a visit…time to dust off the passport 😉

Hi Sherri, I see that you raised your children in CA so many of my posts will be familiar to you. I’m glad I warmed your heart a bit and brought back some good memories. I hope the storms have passed in England and that all is well there. Thanks so much for your kind comments and for being connected here. 🙂

Thank you so much Jane, you have indeed 🙂 The storms have now passed – at least in our southern parts, not so much in Scotland, as is the norm! It is a pleasure to find you and your blog, thank you so much for visiting mine and taking the time to connect at the Summerhouse. I am always delighted to meet someone from California, my other home 🙂

Hi Jane, I am currently using my email to read and comment on wp-posts and blogs. I’m finding it very handy to be able to read and comment directly, without leaving, my email.I have noticed and apologies if you already know this, that you used more than 15 categories and tags, (In total). If you use more than 15 your posts won’t show up in the wp-reader. Which will, therefore, deny any new readers from discovering your beautiful photography.I also noticed that you only display short word snippets via your feed, which is what I then see in my emails. No problem if that’s your wish. I just thought I’d mention it because it means that I can’t see anything from your post without going to your site. Everyone has their own preference. Have a great day. Amanda 🙂

Hi Amanda, Thanks so much for the tips. I was aware of the 15 limit but thought it was only for tags, not tags and categories, however, I do see my posts in the Reader. I appreciate your thoughts on this– you are much more techie than I! Hope all is well with you! 🙂

Yes, I’m well thanks. As for seeing your posts in the reader: you can undoubtedly see them because it’s your blog but potentially new readers who aren’t already following you won’t be shown your posts if they do a tag search or are searching for new photography sites to follow. I hope that makes more sense. Have a great day. 😀

Gorgeous photos, Jane. I particularly love the Tree Tunnel Walker with its a almost suggestive composition. Where I am we are far from any spring feeling. It snowed once again this morning, but I don’t mind. I like snow. 🙂

Hi Otto, Hmmm, hadn’t thought about that in the composition…perhaps you are right. 🙂 Glad I brought some warmth to your day and that you enjoyed the tiny people landscapes.Thank you. I do miss the beauty of snow, but not having to get around in it!

Jane, are you sure you didn’t people your photos with tiny, tiny figurines? 😉 How wonderful to see how these nature folks are dwarfed: a good thing! I particularly love the meeting of man and nature in the Surfer & Inlet photo – the elements of water, sand, birds and man, the composition – it has such a nice feeling. I think I saw in Insta that you got away for a bit – great!
