I’ve Got The Blues

I made these photographs at Malibu Lagoon State Beach with my Fujifilm X-T2 and 18-55mm f/2.8 lens. I hope you enjoyed these Fuji Blues.

  3. Hi Jane, looks like you’ve been wandering….I love that staircase! And I hope Malibu won’t succumb to the fires, like way too many places have.

    • Hi Lynn, Spending the holidays in Santa Monica so we are quite close to some of the fires. Awful and frightening. Hope all is well up north!

      • Ugh. Don’t you feel like there are some huge shifts happening? The new prevalence of more extreme weather, more extensive wildfires, and the cultural shifts too, not least being me too and the incredible change in conversations. We have to get ahead of the climate and fire issues, and behind the me too shift. Sorry! Not all relevant but there ya go. All is well here – an unusual spell of dry weather that may be unprecedented for December. But it’s certainly easier to live with than the norm of cold drizzle. Take care down there!

        • I share your sentiments, Lynn. Climate change must be a priority. As CA burns down…. Cultural shifts abound, too, and tonight a glimmer of a political shift. There may be hope in the midst of all the darkness. Thanks for sharing your honest, candid thoughts.

  13. The blue tones really stand out in the Fujifilm X-T2, which somehow seems to fit perfectly with Southern California in the winter.

  28. I enjoyed the blues very much and love how the placement of each photo flowed so well too – like the stairs and then ending with a more back view of similar (or same stairs).
and while the water here is awesome – and cool surfers (the duo and their spacing has a friendship adventure vibe) my fav is that one of the stairs to the blue.
from the reader – the lines and shadow of that one stood out.
thanks for the beach trip via a post today
