  2. Hello Jane, this is more than just a fantastic shot, it is marvellous! It’s been a wile, that I visited SF, so much more nicer to see your photo ☺

  3. That’s a funny quote and quite real! since kid among the few dream-cities with which I had love to live San Francisco is always in top. I feel it as a place I had read in Arabian Nights.

  4. They are all beautiful and impressive, but my favorites are these in black and white and with the sunsets and these one here “Golden Gate and Fog”.
    Best regards, Heidi

  5. Moody, gorgeous, a little bit spooky!

  6. Your image reminds me of the two-tone cars of the 1950s. You’re fortunate to have the bridge and the Golden Gate itself to play with photographically.

  7. Beautiful catch ! Great work ! Well done !

  8. Wow this is just gorgeous.

  9. What a visual treat! I’m so glad to discover your blog ☺️☺️
    Cheers, Charu

  14. It’s good to have a muse nearby…a beautiful one!

  15. I could stare at this for hours, Jane.
It is so serene and absolutely beautiful.

  16. Ha, ha. It seems that you do. I like the ones with rain – and fog.

  17. I love this photograph and the way you capture moments! And the quotation suits perfectly!

  18. Magnificent shot of The Bridge! I remember Herb Caen well. Is he still writing columns?

  19. Fabulous photo, Jane. It makes me homesick for the old job. Who am I kidding, I miss the view at the old job. Your B&Ws down at Ft. Point are beautiful. The clouds and the water are superb.

  20. Wrapped in Fog, the world is still at rest…That dreamy moment. This is beautiful captured,Jane. Love still your portraits of your amazing muse.

  21. So when is your ‘Golden Gate’ coffee table book coming out? You should do it … you have so many beautiful and different photos of it! Love this!

    • Hi Denise, You and a number of others have suggested that– I am working on narrowing my collection down….like picking a favorite child. Thank you so much for your encouragement- I really appreciated it.

  22. Ahhhh your muse Jane – understandably so! Beautifully captured.

  23. The bridge is a beauty, but the sky and clouds may show it up here!

  24. Beautiful, and perfect for this challenge. I’m going to link so that my readers can enjoy it as well.

  25. WOW…just blown away by this….love to get lost in it’s beauty!😍

  26. I smiled! …We just don’t know but SF would be hard to beat.

  27. I couldn’t help to smile at Herb’s quote 🙂 but I do trust he will be surprized to find that heaven outglows San Francsisco. This must be one of the most photographed bridges in the world (if you don’t believe me jut click on yout link) but showing just the point lik an icberg you have no proof that it actually is the Golden Gate bridge 🙂

  28. wow – that photo is amazing – and the quote is fun….

  29. very sensitive and beautiful moment you captured, Jane.

  30. Great image, Jane. Reminds me of when we were there one July 4th. 🙂

  31. your photos are wonderful…ansd they make me homesick for the bay area!

  32. Beautiful shot! To think there was a city with a million people under those clouds!

  33. Never seen this in person, but it is most spectacular. An iconic SF sight.

  34. Oh, Jane, this is so beautiful.
