I love the tones, and the way the wave is blurred just enough to give a sense of real power. You must have a great collection of GG Bridge photos at this point – have you thought of doing a book?
Wow, spectacular photo! The monochrome picture makes it even more impressive! I love the bridge that disappears in the fog … and the fierce waves! Another great picture, Jane!
This majestic bridge looks great from all angles and in all lights and weather. Another stunner, Jane! Thanks for sharing. I need to dig out one of my GGB pictures for this week’s WPC challenge 🙂
Stunning Jane! Would also be a great entry for the WP Photo Challenge this week…bridges! I am sure you will have a lovely collection of photos to share!
I can feel the weather in this photo, Jane. I remember times like that, usually on Swing Shift, when I had to go down to the South Anchorage roof at night for a light check.

Hi Allan, That is the best compliment, coming from someone who has lived many moments in this spot. The fact that the image brought back those memories and mood is wonderful. Thanks so much.
I felt a little shiver as I looked at that mist, both in the sky and leaping up from the waves. It looks a little chilly and even a bit foreboding, especially the way the bridge fades away ….
Jane, I sure picked a good day to visit blogs: this is such a great image! You’ve captured Mother Nature’s power. I cannot wait to visit San Francisco.
Hi Larry, Yes! I love it when the surfers are there, although, it was a bit foreboding on this day. Thanks and I’m happy it brought back some good memories.
Love this menacing turbulence 🙂
