It Takes Two

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.

“Pooh!” he whispered.

“Yes, Piglet?”

“Nothing,” said Piglet, taking Pooh’s paw. “I just wanted to be sure of you.”

  13. Wow Jane, your life portraits are amazing, each showing the promise and close bond that comes from having that someone special. Love your post ~

  14. What a marvelous post. Of course, I loved the first one and was delighted to see it. The little girls are adorable too.

  15. Fabulous set of images, Jane. I love that first quote that seems so apt for the images that follow. And the concept of silence with friends – when words are superfluous when faced with a glorious view.

    • Hi Andy, Piglet knows about friendship… I’m pleased you enjoyed the images along with the quotes. We all cherish those friendships, don’t we? Thanks very much for your kind words.

  16. What a great and emotive set. Every single shot.

  18. For a long time not passing by here, sorry, I lost much beauty! As always, your images are gorgeous and very talented ❤ ❤ ❤

  19. What fabulous images Jane. The red cord around the young boy’s neck in that first one made me wince a bit though!

    • Hi Jude, Glad you enjoyed these, thanks so much. Funny you noticed that- he had just made his necklace and was proud of it. There were many eyes on him in the class (including mine) so it was safe, although you are right about possible hazards. It does remain one of my favorites– I have a whole series of kids playing against that colorful backdrop.

  20. Great set of images Jane… the idea for the post

  21. These are so wonderful. They make my heart sing. The men on the park bench. The boys on the swing set. I love it.

    • That’s great, Lisa, thank you. These portraits are among my favorites for the great atmosphere while taking them and the pleasing results. Good to read your positive reaction. 🙂

  22. Really love these photos. The last two reminded me that friends can sometimes be apart for a while as long as they trust , love and find their way back to each other.

  23. Beautifully captured, loved your blog. Happy to follow you. Looking forward for more such amazing photography.

  24. You are so “right-on” with these lovely photos and text. Tis my oldest friend’s birthday this month and we have shared our BFF status for over 60 years.

  28. Thanks for putting a smile on my face… wonderful ‘twins’ and some beautiful and necessary alone time…

  29. A wonderful collection of images representing friendship, I love them, particularly the first one with the little boys. I love the way his little hands are curled in anticipation of his friends reaction. Beautifully captured. Where these shot over a period of time, or all in one day?

    • Hi Karen, These portraits were taken at various times over the years. The one that you mentioned was a day spent at a friend’s son’s preschool- such fun. All of these are special to me for the memories of the moments. The little girls are my great nieces. Thanks so much for enjoying.

  30. Beautiful captures, Jane. I loved the last shot of the two bikes along the shore. A wonderful interpretation of the theme. 🙂

  32. Jane, you’ve really caught the wonder of these children. Excellent.
