I was away and missed this – the flower on the steps somehow plays against all the other images in a way that might sum up San Francisco, at lesast an older notion of the city. I’m not sure about now – haven’t been there in a long time! This post showcases your versatility – and your love for San Francisco.

Hi Lynn, I love your thoughts on these — the flower especially poignant during the current 50th anniversary of the “Summer of Love”. Thank you for your kind comment and I’m happy you enjoyed this set.

Hi Mabel, So true, home is where you make it. Glad you like the cable car– the title is a bit tongue in cheek– SF natives know how slowly they usually go, although, I have seen some wild drivers giving the tourists a run for their money! Thanks for your great comment.

A great place for a staycation! So many excellent photos, Jane! The clarity in first one (of the GG bridge), feels like I’m about to get splashed! The kite boarder shot is so well balanced (wind surfing uses a bigger board and a sail). My niece kite boards in Santa Cruz and loves it. You live in a beautiful city!

Hi Eliza, Thank you! It sure is fun finding the great SF light. Happy you enjoyed and I am happy you gave me the heads up about the kite boarders- now corrected- they are all amazing to me! This was a bit north of Santa Cruz…such fun to watch.
