    • Hi Ellen, I’m glad the images gave you a peek into the day. It was very inspiring and hopeful. Wondering how it must feel watching it all from afar– I find I must compartmentalize. Thank you for your visits to my posts. Much appreciated.

  8. The march in SF must have been rather electric.

Locally, the march here was much smaller with most going to the larger one in Denver. Also, there were some Never-Trumpers in the march – they are very uncomfortable with him as president, which is an understatement. They portray him being in office as “borrowing trouble”. Then, a couple of Trump supporters got into an argument. One was there to watch, saying the march is what is the best about America, while the other said, no it isn’t. Though the latter sounds disturbing, it really isn’t – there is already plenty of buyer’s remorse out there. Given time, he will become a non-factor as president.

    • Hi David, What an experience! All of this is quite unsettling and I am fearful of where things are going. Thanks so much for sharing your story. We all need to make our voices heard. Yes, trying out a new window view. 🙂 lol.

  21. Jane, I loved your Women’s March photos- especially  the one with the 2 women in the hats sold on every downtown street corner ( but must have been customized for the march) plus the “Frozen” backpack. I was away at a medical meeting with Sandy so sadly did not join in but saw photos from and talked with my daughter and sister (marched respectively in DC and Pittsburgh) and other friends from SF and from Raleigh. Then I looked at your oak trees and then all your trees and your fabulous favorites of 2016. Wow! Very beautiful and inspiring.! A nice way to end the evening and now go read my book. Love, Jennifer
