Beautiful! I love storms at the seashore!
Thanks very much, Alan. Me, too!
I found Golden Gate common in most of your post. Special love for it?
Hello Norton, Oh, yes, she has been my muse for a long time. Glad you enjoy her portraits. Thank you.
Wonderful pictures Jane! 🙂
Thanks so much, Adrian! Much appreciated. 🙂
Looks amazing with the splashing water.
Thanks, Rabirius. I zm pleased it conveys how it feels at that spot when the waves are breaking. Pretty cool right now, too, with the Super Moon on its way. Glad you enjoyed.
Wow great photo Jane! Love this 🙂
Hi Peter, Thanks! Very exciting morning. Happy you like it. 🙂
LOVE these and being able to see this icon from time to time through your lens and blog is a joy!
Hi Denise, You have really made my day. Thank you so much! I really appreciate it.
Hi Jane, fabulous! Love the texture to the 1st one & the POV is fantastic.
Thanks so much, Mark. How nice! This was really fun to shoot– very happy you like them.
Did your camera get wet (not to mention yourself)? Well, I read you comment above, so I guess you didn’t get soaked. All the more impressive you managed to captured these splendid images. My favourite is definitely the last one, such drama and energy!
Good morning, Otto. Amazing that I didn’t… funny the next morning I was running by, no camera, and a big wave sprayed me– pay back! I love the challenge of finding the shot here. Thanks so much for your appreciation and encouragement.
Well, at least your camera was safe when the wave hit you. 🙂
Love the composition on your opener Jane. Your muse continues to deliver!
Thank you, T. There have been some great mornings of wild surf. Glad you enjoyed!
I can hear that water from here, Jane!
Beautiful images.
Hi Lisa, Then my image works! How nice of you, thanks very much.
just wonderful shot Jane….so mysterious!!! Loving wave break😜
Thanks very much, April. My favorite spot… especially in high surf! 🙂
Stellar!
Hi Doug, Thanks so much! So nice of you to say. 🙂
Awesome!
Thanks, Herbert! Glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful black and whites, Jane. 🙂
Thank you, Imelda. I do love this spot in B&W as much as I do color. Happy you enjoyed. 🙂
Stunning shot–perfect for the theme!
Hi Naomi, It feels a bit chaotic when those waves are crashing. Happy you think I caught the mood. Thanks for your nice comment.
Wow. You really caught it in mid-air. I actually got wet. (smile)
Then it’s a successful image, Jane! Very happy you enjoyed it– thank you so much.
Very cool imagewith great timing.
Hi CP– So glad you like these. Thanks very much. It’s a great way to hone my reaction skills in my ripe old age. 🙂
Lovely captures Jane! Really like the water spray and the photos look gorgeous in monochrome.
Hi Inger, Thank you! I’m happy you like the monochrome c0nversion — it’s always tempting to leave it in color with the vibrant red bridge, but I love the way the waves look in black and white. Glad you agree.
Great shots, Jane. I almost want to duck so I don’t get wet!
That’s a great compliment, Patti- then it works! Happy you felt the moment. Thanks so much.
You’re very welcome, Jane. They are great shots.
Did you get wet!!!!
Hi Linda, Just a little…. I’m getting good at moving fast. Thank you!
I can feel the “splash, splash”… Superb shots!
Thank you, Louise…I felt it, too! 🙂 Glad you like these– it always fun being in this spot.
The first photo is really fabulous, I really enjoy all your photos of this beautiful sight. So many different ways to show one object/motive – that is great photography!
That makes my day, Lena. Thanks very much. So true about the many moods one place can have. Right after I shot these, the fog rolled in and I couldn’t see the bridge. Got lucky!
🙂
Thank you for sharing!
Spectacular photo’s… but I can not imagine you kept it dry (and your camera!)
Sunny greetings from (a rainy) Holland!
Hi Noortje, I’m getting good at clicking and running. 🙂 and a telephoto helps! Happy you enjoyed these. Thank you! Send some of your rain our way. (although we’ve had some good drought relief this month)
super
SUPER !!!!!!!!!
Hi Willem, Thanks so much! I had fun shooting these.
Thanks, Willem! 🙂
Great photos, Jane. This seems to be one of your favorite spots…love these images, you can almost feel the spray by just looking at them. Thanks for sharing and have a great Sunday!
Hi Marcus, It is indeed one of my favorite spots. Happy you like the feel of this one. It was a great morning. Hope you have a wonderful Sunday, too! Thanks so much.
Very nice! Wondering how wet you and your camera got???!
Hi Freddie- Are you picturing me in a full rain suit? I was fortunate to estimate the wave break although I have seen many get soaked at this spot! I was using a pretty good telephoto lens which helped keep me dry. Happy you enjoyed these- thanks so much.
Beautifully done and the SS was on point. Riveting droplets crashing all round, and they certainly stand out with the BW composition. Love the quote too. Anything and everything can make a good photograph. It’s a matter of perspective, and there’s post-processing 🙂
Hi Mabel, You are so kind to share your thoughts– thanks so much. It was a creative morning capturing the vibrant activities at the bridge. So glad you like these images. Have to ask…what is SS? Hope all is well down under!
SS on point, I meant shutter speed on point, and that was how you got the water droplets so clear. Sorry about that 🙂
Aha! Should have thought of that one– I learned SOOC from WP, too. Thanks! Yes, a fast shutter helped freeze the action. 🙂 Appreciate your kind comments.
Very dramatic in black and white
Thanks very much, Wendy. Something about the waves that calls for it. Happy you enjoyed!
Well done.
Hi Tim, Thanks very much. It was a great morning… waves, surfers, runners, boats and Goldie. 🙂
It sounds as if you got a lot more great shots that you’ve yet to have shared.
Enjoying going through the first cut 🙂
Are you using Le CC?
Assume you mean LR CC…. yes. Love it.
Jane I can just feel the spray! Like opening a bottle of jousled Cubs champagne… Cheers! d
Ditto– double your pleasure! 🙂
