Absolutely beautiful shots, Jane. I especially like the “first mate!” We hope to explore that part of the country next year. You’ve given us some great ideas of where to go.
You’ve captured some beautiful sentiments of nostalgia within these photos ~ there is something about ports around the Puget Sound area that seem to take me back to the times when old fishing villages were places of discovery around the world… And then you dot the ‘i’ in discovery with the story-telling photos that follow. And incredible series, the dog in the boat brings such a great smile 🙂 Very happy to see you treat Friday Harbor so well with this post. Wonderful work Jane ~
Once again, lovely images from an area I have been many a time myself. I love how you tell the story of Friday Harbor with both overviews and close-ups.
Hi PJB, Sure! Processed first in LR for exposure, etc. Then in Nik’s Analog Efex Pro for the monochrome and texture. Do you use Nik? Glad you liked them, thank you.
Hi, I was actually in another window looking at this and see that it is free now. This is a software that I had looked at a few years ago. Will probably go ahead and install today. Thanks so much for talking to me about this.
Nope! That was a strange trip. I was in the corporate world those days… I flew 36 hours from Shanghai to San Juan for a 36 hour conference (including sleep time!). So many of us stayed back for a day…. Shall… maybe.. post some stuff next week
That is the problem with these corporate trips. I used to get flown into The Netherlands for a 4 hour meeting. So, I would try and fix meetings with other people around the official meeting. The trick was always to try and get someone to take you for lunch. Especially in the NL
Not so, in our office in Switzerland. Now, my travels are confined to cheap hotels in India! But, I enjoy them more
Red white & blew blew me away..great set! Thanks for sharing – ds

Hi- As a plug-in to LR. It’s free now! Bought by Google… had to pay for it years ago, but it was worth it. Silver Efex Pro is a fave.
