It’s around the table and in the preparation of food that we learn about ourselves and about the world.

Hi Allan, It gets better every week. Inspiration at every table. Thanks very much.
Thanks, Allan. I was excited when I saw that big red bowl of berries! And they tasted great, too. 🙂
Nothing more fun than cleaning up after a table top photo session.

Some great shots there Jane, I especially like the produce shots. And your titles this week are really fun!
Thanks, Tina. I love shooting at the market every Sunday- never know what you’re going to get. Glad you like my captions…good to keep it light. 😀
The colors are phenomenal! Your talent is phenomenal too!
Hi Dor, Nature’s color palette is amazing, isn’t it? You are very kind, thanks so much.
Really beautiful images, Jane. 🙂 The colours are gorgeous .
Thanks, Sylvia. Combining two loves….eating and photography. 😉
Gorgeous produce. We’re a long way from the first farmer’s market of the season. Still trying to get rid of this pesky one called winter. 🙂
Hi David, Didn’t you just have a huge spring snowstorm? Hope my images brought some relief. Thanks so much.
We didn’t get much snow where we lived, about three inches of snow. The mountains, points north to Denver and beyond, they got hammered with the snowfall. But, no worry. It’ll be 60 on Wednesday and 70-80 by the weekend.
Hi Jane – really enjoyed this blog. You have shown how these natural ingredients make not just great food but also great photographs!
Thank you, John. I love produce portraits- they hold still and pose so nicely. On a more serious note, I wish healthy, locally grown food was more widely available and affordable. You visit is much appreciated.
Hello
Beautiful blog.
I wish you a nice new week.
Hi Marko, Thank you for your appreciation and I’m happy you stopped by. Hope you have a good week, too.
That’s making me hungry
Hi Mark, That’s good! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed these. Thanks.
Hmm…these look vaguely familiar. 😉
Laura, Are we walking right by each other at Fort Mason on Sundays? Thanks for stopping by here. 🙂
We must be!
Ah…the artichokes. Such deep and beautiful greens. We’re a good 6 weeks from our first outdoors Farmers’ Market here and there will NEVER be an artichoke at a Farmers’ Market in northeastern Wisconsin…not unless someone smuggles one in from the outside. 🙂
Hi Patricia– I could send you a box 🙂 I bet you’re looking forward to the market after a long winter. Glad these shots got your taste buds going. Thank you.
Those look like they actually taste like strawberries…yum.
Hi Mike, One of the best things about the farmers’ markets are the samples! 🙂 Glad you like these. Thanks so much.
I can just taste them.
What a delightful, delicious post. Still smiling from Beauty and the Beet.
Hi Jane, I think we shared one of the meals pictured here… Happy this set appealed to you and that you like my puns. 😉 Thank you so much, friend.
What riches in the lands of plenty, beautifully photographed by you, as always. xx
Thank you, Paula. It is wonderful that these are all products of California. Happy you like them.

Healthy. Delicious!
Indeed, Angela. Fun to photograph, too. Thanks very much.
Lovely. My feelings exactly!
Hi ML, We are what we eat, as they say. Glad you enjoyed this one- thank you.
What stunning shots of food and fruit, Jane. The tomato and watermelon salads looks refeshing and divine. All looking healthy too 🙂 Love the quotes too. Dinner, it’s a time when we come together and not only enjoy food but yeah other’s company as well 🙂
So true, Mabel. It’s always nice to gather around a table and share a meal. Happy you enjoyed these “produce portraits.” Thanks so much.
wonderful – great!
Thanks so much, Mihran. Glad you enjoyed this little feast.
Very healthy looking pics!
Thank you, Michael. We eat with our eyes, first! 😀
Food did taste of what they were, that was the norm and not even too long ago.
True, Valentina. I hope the movement continues to eat real, local food. Thanks for stopping by.
I hope so too Jane, because the natural food is the only thing I grew up on and I make all the possible efforts to continue having the good food I have known.
I’m salivating! Gorgeous looking food in all the colors of the rainbow!
Thank you, Eliza. Food, glorious food… Happy these got your taste buds jumping. 😊
