  1. Reblogged this on Pearlz Dreaming and commented:
A truly beautiful blog, must visit you more often Jane. So little time we seem to have to see so much beauty in the world.

  2. Magnífica serie de imagenes de la naturaleza! color, luz y un buen trabajo, son el mejor de los componentes! Cheers, Jane!

  3. Jane, you have an awesome blog, there is so much inspiration to be found here! Thanks for sharing your work!

  4. fantastic shots, especially the first one Grant Street – fabulous

  5. I actually gasped…aloud, even…at the opening shot. Absolutely wonderful: the color (reds!) the busyness of the street and even the street itself. Wow.

    • Patricia, That means a lot to me, thank you so much. That was one of those “aha moments” in making an image that made my day…or week…or year. 🙂 This is a great spot in Chinatown.

  6. Beautiful and interesting set of photos! Thanks for sharing. Bye. Kamila

  7. Another fantastic series Jane (as if you’d ever disappoint 🙂 ). The first shot is one that immediately jumps out as a classic. The bright umbrella and in a sense a very iconic image of a Chinese grandmother making her way across the street at her own pace…not a concern but just to make it to the other side. Beautiful.

  8. Beautiful series Jane ; well done. Eid you end up taking the photography class you were thinking about?

  9. All beautiful shots Jane and they look so good together. Love the dazzle of the egret on the lagoon!

  10. These are beautiful images Jane, and inspiring words to go with them, have a wonderful Easter.

  11. Beautiful. I love them all 🙂

  12. Lovely quote and images. I think my favourite photography quote is from Susan Sontag, perhaps you’ve used it before,

“All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”

  13. A lovely set by a wonderfully talented photographer. If I had to pick I would say ‘Stream & Rocks’ is my favorite.

  14. I like especially this rainy day. No matter the weather, there is always something interesting to shoot.

  15. wonderful photos….stream n rocks fascinating….very thought provoking!!!

  16. Hi Jane. Your work is gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I love how you’ve captured the light in these photos. And the quotes are terrific.

  17. Jane, these are magical. I love the light in the Grant Street shot and the three figures all heading to the left.

  18. I really like that shot of Grant Street. Very cinematic.

  19. Great shots! The umbrella, the flowers, the stream.. wonderful work Jane 🙂

  20. Wow! I am impressed with every single one of your “light” photos!

  21. Rainy day is mesmerizing!

  22. Jane, your Grant St photo is gorgeous. The colors look like you took it during an eclipse and the lanterns overhead mimic the rain coming down. This is a terrific image.
    Ω

  23. Lovely post…. Love that last quote and always the egret…

  24. Everything is true…but you need the ‘eye’ to read it and you have those EYES!

  25. That “chinatown” street shot is pure awesome!

  26. Beautiful post. I like the quotes too. My favourite picture is the poppy.

    • Hi Lena, I just love California Poppies and now is the time when the wildflowers are blooming. The orange variety is pretty, too. Happy you enjoyed this series along with the quotes, which really hit home for me. Thank you!

  27. Beautiful collection.

  28. Rainy day is my favorite too. Very atmospheric. But I love them all

  29. Amazing shot, Jane. I like it very much. 🙂

  30. Wonderful, full of atmosphere and mystery.

  31. Lovely images and great study of light. (Suzanne)

  32. That Grant Street shot is super. It’s been a while since you had that much rain in SF in a winter, right?

  33. Gorgeous, as usual. I do love that Rainy Day shot. i can look at it for a long time…

  34. Wondeful…feels like I’m there ☺️

  35. You captured the light for sure. Really nice, Jane.

  36. Rainy Day, Grant Street – amazing light on that red umbrella! Great photo.
