  7. Another fantastic series Jane (as if you’d ever disappoint 🙂 ). The first shot is one that immediately jumps out as a classic. The bright umbrella and in a sense a very iconic image of a Chinese grandmother making her way across the street at her own pace…not a concern but just to make it to the other side. Beautiful.

  12. Lovely quote and images. I think my favourite photography quote is from Susan Sontag, perhaps you’ve used it before,

    “All photographs are memento mori. To take a photograph is to participate in another person’s (or thing’s) mortality, vulnerability, mutability. Precisely by slicing out this moment and freezing it, all photographs testify to time’s relentless melt.”
