Beautiful set Jane , love the bells, brollies and silos and especially the three ladies at the window – really splendid!
Hi Jane– I’m so glad you enjoyed this one. I do love groupings of threes. Thank you very much!
Always a pleasure Jane !
Beautiful set, Jane.
Thanks, Allan. That was a fun theme for me since I love things in threes.
A delightful series of photos. I love the variety of both subject, approach and processing. A beautiful portfolio, Jane.
That means a lot, Otto. Thank you very much.
these are ALL great. But I think I like the first one best, the three bells and the kid, I’d even like it without the kid…maybe I have a “thing” for bells. I’ve been to Thailand a few times, always wanted to go to Chang Mai, never have quite made it there….so thanks for some insight
Hi badfish- I love bells, too. I wish I had taken more shots with and without kiddies. Chiang Mai is a magical place for photography. Thanks for your appreciation.
You cover the concept of trio so well ~ the Lao-zi quote is a perfect guide as the holiday season is upon us. Great series of photos, but the young boy along with the historical 3 bells at the buddhist temple is a great way to start this post. Cheers to a great week Jane.
Happy you like this one, Randall. I sure love things in threes and I agree, the Lao Tzu rings so true. Thank you for your kind comment and I wish you a wonderful week.
Beautiful photos and great idea – about 3! I like it :)! Bye. K
Thank you very Kamila– have to give WP the credit for the theme but it’s a favorite for me as I love to shoot in threes. Glad you enjoyed!
Enchanting photos and wonderful quotes, Jane. I particularly love the first image.
That little boy was so adorable and curious about the bells. Glad you like this series, Sylvia. Thank you very much.
Put together with such effortless style Jane and so much wonderful food for thought.
You are so nice to let me know, Patti. Thanks and much appreciated coming from your eye.
Ah, the magic of three! Here’s another one to add to yours, “Three things cannot long be hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.” -Buddha
Hi BT- Funny, I had that one in the line-up from another time…love it! Thanks so much.
right oN! 😎
Hi Mike- Glad you enjoyed this one. Thanks!
Ha, what a fun series…I think a lot of work went on to put these together. well done.
Thank you, John. Indeed, and I do enjoy reworking images and thinking through a theme. Glad you like this one. Much appreciated.
Hi Jane, your photos are gorgeous, you cover eveything with them, all angles.
Thanks, Elizabeth. Sometimes I get down but I can’t get back up! 😉
Das sind schöne Fotos. L.G. Wolfgang
Danke schön, Wolfgang.
So many beautiful trios in here! I particularly loved the young monks in Chiang Mai.
A highlight of SE Asia was photographing the monks…respectfully as possible. This one was a quick moment that I really loved. Thanks, Lexi.
What a gorgeous collection of photos, Jane. Thank you so much for sharing them and the quotes 🙂

Hi Uday- I love things in threes…works for my eye. Glad you like them– thanks so much.
Wonderful pictures. I love the one of the 3 women in the window.
Hi Sonya, We were about to get on a boat on Halong Bay and they were just hanging out. I loved that moment. Thanks so much.
Love all your pictures especially the Three Monks and Three Bells!
Thank you very much, Sujatha. Threes are enticing, aren’t they?
Yeah, you are right 🙂
What a beautiful set of threes… I especially like the three young monks and the women in the window. And I always love your quotes! Have a nice day Jane (well… it’s morning here 😉 )
Thank you so much, Noortje. Those were memorable moments on my trip to SE Asia. Have a good night! 😀
The monks stood out for me as well but all of them are perfect. Well done.
I enjoy shooting in threes so this theme came pretty naturally for me Maverick. Happy you like them- thank you.
Nicely done photos and quotes. The first one reminds me of Quasimodo. I hope the little guy in the picture doesn’t mind.
Ha- funny Steve! Happy you enjoyed this set. Thanks so much.

I always make sure that I do my Photo challenge posts before I go and see Jane Lurie’s posts because I know she will manage to just blow me away. That’s what she does every single post she does!
Amanda, You are inspiring, as well, and your support is much appreciated. Thank you!
It’s like taking a wonderful trip that just immerses you in another place. I can’t explain it any other way. 🙂
Beautiful photos and love the opening quote.
Thank you, Ruth–that quote spoke to me, too. Glad you enjoyed.
A wonderful gallery of threes Jane. The young monks is a beautiful photo. Best wishes 🙂

All beautiful choices Jane, many bringing some wonderful memories. So of course I’m partial to the monks and the ladies :-). Excellent choices for the week’s challenge.
Hi Tina, Thank you and of course I thought of you and our travels together. Reworked all of them in LR and enjoying Topaz Textures as well. Glad you enjoyed them.

The quotes, and the photos speak volumes.
That’s very nice to hear, Maria. Amazing how involved I get. Love it. As I know you do, too.
🙂
Wonderful series and such perfect quotes; I always enjoy your creativity!
Hi Cynthia– You’re so kind. Thank you!
This is my favourite entry so far this week. It’s a great compilation of pictures. The rain on leaves shot is hauntingly beautiful (I love the contrast of the big alchemilla mollis leaves against a tapestry of geranium leaves).
Hi Susan, It’s so nice to have a master gardener come by for a visit! So glad you like that image- a favorite from a beautiful garden at a B&B we stayed at in Washington state. Thank you for your kind comment.
Very lovely Jane. I wonder if the Vietnam/Cambodia pictures are recent ones or from another trip? Love, Jennifer
Hi Jennifer, Thank you! Our trip to SE Asia was a number of years ago. Oh, how I would love to go back. Great to hear from you and hope to see you soon.

Hi April- Two of my favorites. So glad you like this theme. Thanks very much!
Wonderful collection!
Thanks so much, Herbert. Much appreciated!
Brilliant trios of shots, Jane. Such variety, too, all around the world. I really like the three women in Halong Bay. That was well framed and they look like they are wondering why you are taking their photo 😀 I am sure they didn’t mind anyway. Hope you’re well and have a good weekend 🙂
Hi Mabel, What a gift to find them relaxing and leaning out the window. They tolerated me…
Happy you enjoyed my take on the theme. Thanks so much and hope you have a great weekend, too. 🙂
I’ve heard in the food biz they serve pieces in threes and fives and leave you wanting more. More please!
Hi Bob- No wonder I eat a lot– I love things in threes! Glad you do, too. Thanks, friend.
Yes, yes, yes! Thom

Lovely captures, especially love the one of the monks!
Hello Inger- Photographing the monks in Thailand was memorable. Most were quite friendly and shy. Happy you enjoyed. Thanks very much.
What a lovely post–both words and pictures. Well-executed and well-thought-out.
Hi Judy- Your kind words are much appreciated. Thank you and I’m glad you stopped by.
What a wonderful theme, Jane and a nice way to mix things up. The colors and textures in the last shot beg the viewer to reach in and touch .
Hi Patricia- It was amazing to me at the Wats in Siem Reap that these historic artifacts were laying right there within reach. I really wanted to touch them… but didn’t, promise. The light and textures, as you can imagine, were astounding. Glad you enjoyed this theme- thank you!
The silos are fantastic, but the rain on the leaves blows me away. Good job, Jane.
Ω
Hi Allan, The silos are along a fascinating agricultural/industrial corridor in NM. I got some great shots there. And the leaves..I was captivated by them in a garden on the Olympic Peninsula after a rain. Could have stayed there all day. Glad you like them- thanks so much!
Great variety in this sequence. All are very effective compositions.
I’m happy you enjoyed this one, elmediat. Thanks very much.
Love the theme and the variety of photos you selected – very moving, my friend 💕
That’s so nice to hear, Wendy. Thank you. 💕
