  1. Reblogged this on Surprising lives and commented:
    Beautifully stunning from Jane Lurie.

  2. I’m going to run out of words to describe how beautiful your photography is Jane. Maybe I’ll just silently keep re-blogging!

  3. Such a great series and I was thrilled to see your take on Kiawah Island along with what I know of Tina’s view ~ simply beautiful. The dew and spiders web captured the lighting so well, but hard to pick a favorite here.

  4. Fantastic Jane but Daybreak Reflection for me is stunning!

  5. Love each one of these photographs, Jane. Beautifully done.

  6. You had me with the Lily Tomlin quote!

  7. Something about the early morning dew decorating spider webs, fragile stalks, and sweetgrass is just as autumnal as all those changing leaf colors. Were there a lot of butterflies on Kiawah island?

    • Hi BT- There are loads of butterflies on Kiawah and it’s such fun to try and capture them which isn’t so easy when they’re flitting. It’s a gorgeous time of year in SC and I’m glad you liked this seasonal tribute. Thank you so much.

  8. OMG every single one of your posts is so stunning. I just love this one, it’s so beautiful.

  9. Lovely as always jane–a bit nostalgic I think😊 the dewy shots are my fav. Safe travels, loved having you back albeit briefly. xo

  10. So nice to see such beauty after what our friends in South Carolina experienced.

  11. Love these…great light & color….peaceful!! Wish everyone (me) would take more time to see the beauty around us…Thank You for sharing!!

  12. These are great shots – beautiful 😄

  13. Another beautiful set of nature photos, Jane. My favourite would have to be the daybreak reflection one. The symmetry is absolutely on point. Love that Emrson quote you shared. There’s always a silver lining to every situation, always a way out and it often presents itself when we least expect it.

I like the butterfly shot a lot too. It screams “fresh” right after a bit of rain 🙂

  14. Lovely images… especially the first butterfly, but all lovely.

  15. Loved the sea oats and the shrimp boat at sunrise. Thanks for sharing your talent. Barbara

  16. Something always, always sings….and this is a chorus!

  17. Love this and have missed your takes on Kiawah… Although have loved being in San Fran with you! Safe travels…

  18. Fab photos as always…

  19. Beautiful photos of Kiawah!! Safe travels home and we’ll keep in touch. Loved seeing you and Bob. Xox Pam

  22. Beautiful photos. Love butterflies and dew drops.

  23. A very pretty series, especially the butterflies.

  24. You are right, we need to slow down and LOOK…Love the Sweet Grass and Dew but they are all great.

  25. Beautiful shots, Jane. And I’m going to try and remember the quote by Emerson…the mud and scum of things..love that.

  26. Hi Jane –
Am a sucker for butterflies every time. So graceful & beautiful floating by in our lives.
    Pretty sunrise!…a high test coffee & camera kinda day?…Cheers ! d

    • Hi Diana- And this little guy was nice enough to pose for quite a while. Love them, too. Sunrises in October are thankfully a little later for the not-so-early riser. 🙂 So good to hear from you– thank you!

Love to hear what you think...
