I LOVE your shot; how on earth did you ever get that angle at the Golden Gate? Wonderful image!

Thanks so much, Mitch. I wandered into Fort Point which is under the bridge one afternoon and the shadows that were cast by the underside of the bridge were fantastic. I am definitely going back. Glad you like this!

Jane, these are great photos and you made such good use of your POV. They remind me of the feeling that I had my first week as an employee at the GGB. I was more impressed when I climbed over the rail and went underneath the bridge than when I climbed the cable to the top of the tower. It is a sensation similar to flying: What is holding this big thing up in the air?
BTW, Ft Point also looks good in your photos.

Hi Allan, I cannot imagine the incredible viewpoints of the bridge you have seen! What an exciting story. Just the words climbing over the rail… or top of the tower…amazing. Makes me happy that you found this series interesting. Thank you so much for sharing and for your appreciation–nice that it brings back memories.

Stunning photos of the Golden Gate Bridge, Jane. I love the last photo the best. Beautiful cloud cover yet the bridge still stands out, and I supposed the black and white composition added to this. The hoodoos look interesting. For a moment I thought they were animals or tiny people looking out into the river. Cute 🙂

Thank you, Mabel. When I see a shot that has contrasting elements I go black and white. Glad you agree. The hoodoos to me, are zen-like creations from people that are interesting when I pass by.

Incredibly so, the shadows are fantastic. Iconic. Your photographs give us a whole new perspective of this beautiful structure Jane! I had two great photographs that I took from the other side as the fog was rolling through and darn if I can find them now – hope one day they show up.

That first shot is just magical when the eye follows the shadow right up to the shoreline and the bridge.
