Hi Mark- Thank you- that’s a fave– happy you like that shot. It really was a great experience finding the light, looking for the lines and reflections. Very nice of you to let me know.

theses pictures – they touch me …
Sorry, it’ only a try try 😉

Hi Wild Daffodil- I hope you get there someday soon. Quite inspiring and I’m glad you enjoyed this series. Thanks so much.
Wow, wow, wow!! You have a great eye for capturing the grace and art of a building Jane! I love these photos and I shall look forward to more posts!

Thanks, April. It was a great day of shooting.
interesting and you have captured the details so well 🙂
HI Joshi- Thank you for your very kind comment. (Sorry for my late response-I don’t know how I missed it.) Hope all is well with you.
Magnificent! Wonderful!
HI Sherry- Thank you! So nice you like these. What a place.
Fantastic angles capturing the brilliance and mood that this great architect designed into this masterpiece. Did you see his “brown paper bag” at the Sydney University? https://memoriesaremadeofthisblog.wordpress.com/2015/06/01/travel-theme-modern-architecture/ It only opened end of last year.
Hi Pauline, It was under construction when we were there. It is fascinating! Love the photos. Thanks for sending and I’m happy you liked the Bilbao set.
He is an amazing architect and he has so many buildings around the world.
this brilliant – fascinating – master art of elegancy!
HI Mihran- A truly incredible building. Glad you liked seeing it through my lens. Thanks so much.
They’re all striking, but # 2,3,4 swoop and dive and soar. Thank you for sharing these!
That is so cool, Patricia. Thank you!
Hi Jane. Your shots are stunning. I especially like your moody sky shots. I haven’t been the Guggenheim in Bilbao. Another place to put on my list. Have you visited the one in NYC? –Patti
Hi Patti, Yes, many times since I am originally from NJ and my husband and I are huge Frank Lloyd Wright fans. Inspirational building. Thanks so much for your appreciating of these on Bilbao.
Hi Jane. NJ! We were neighbors! We’re originally from NY and lived near the Guggenheim in the 90’s. Have you been to Taliesen in AZ? I just went there in March. Fascinating site.–Patti
Yes, AZ was great–we’ve toured many of FLW buildings. Taliesin in WI, Fallingwater… also, the annual house tour in Chicago of his home and studio and the homes he designed near there… that is wonderful. J
There’s another FLW house in Grand Rapids–where we live. It’s called the Meyer May House. Very interesting. Beautifully restored by Steelcase. We haven’t been on the house tour yet in Chicago…but we went to Open House Chicago last fall, which had great architectural open houses all over the city.
The Meyer May is a beauty. Hope we get there someday. Open House Chicago sounds wonderful, Patti.
I think you’d really like Open House Chicago. It’s in the fall. You can sign up for updates & information from the CAF–Chicago Architecture Foundation.
Very nice pictures for this beauty. We didn’t make it to Bilbao but I have seen many Frank Gehry projects including the Disney Hall in LA and the Fondation Vuitton in Paris. I quite like what he does…(Suzanne)
Hi Suzanne- Hope you get there one day- it’s wonderful that you’ve been to some others- the concert hall is gorgeous. Glad you enjoyed this series- thank you.
Great view Jane
Thanks very much, Jake.
These images took my breath away ( and I’m not usually one for such “over-the-top” comments).
Hi Helen, You are very kind, thanks so much. One of those places that was full of incredible light. Keep the over-the-top coming…😉
So many tasty shots!
Hi Dunelight- What a genius Gehry is. Glad you enjoyed these- thank you!
Gosh, I enjoyed your series. You created some interesting views.
Hi John, What a fun day of shooting. A bit of a challenge to settle in… we concentrated more on the building than the exhibits. The light was great and there was a surprise at every turn. Thanks so much for appreciating.
Fantastic!
Fresh in your mind, Wendy. Great memories, aren’t they? Thanks, friend.
Your photos are a wonderful tribute to this beautiful building. Ω
Hi Allan- How kind- thank you so much. It was a wonderful day of appreciating Gehry’s genius. Glad you enjoyed.
Beautiful shots… Some of them make me dizzy … Wondering where the heck you had to position yourself to get the depth and light of shots!!!
Hi Linda, What a morning of looking at all the angles and spaces. It took a while to relax and find the light — it was a bit overwhelming to start. I took a lot of shots “from the hip” shooting straight up at the ceiling for those atrium angles. Thanks so much for your lovely comments.
Love the museum shots Jane, especially the opening shot. Beautiful!
Thanks so much, Tina. It was astounding and full of creative energy for shooting. Glad you liked these.
Love these photos!! It is a great architecture an your “portrait” of the building is so great.
Hi Lena, And what a beautiful subject she is… it was great fun to explore. Thanks very much.
Jane, your Guggenheim series is overwhelmingly beautiful- the shapes, the shadows, the colors, the views. I love seeing through your eyes! Joyce
Hi Joyce, There are an infinite number of spaces and compositions there– incredible. I’m so glad you enjoyed this set and it’s so nice of you to let me know–thank you!
Great pics:)
Thanks so much, Julia. It is a beautiful place to explore and photograph.
Fantastic shots. Especially love the play of colors on the first one. It must change all day long.
Jane, I was very surprised when I looked at the images. There were so many variations of light. Very interesting. Thanks!
Very nice!
Thank you, Maria. It was great fun to wander and shoot.
Hi jane, great series from the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
We enjoyed it very much, Robert. Happy you liked my images, thanks so much.
