The state flower of California makes its vibrant spring debut.
I found these poppies along the Matt Davis Trail in Marin, CA.

We’ve only been away from San Simeon, CA for not even two months but greatly miss it. Looks like enough rain to bring out the poppies. Love the CA wildflowers. Texas and Arkansas have some beauties as well. Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful photo’s of this lovely flower that I adore… in Holland they are called ‘slaapmutsje’ (sleeping hat)… I have them in my garden, but it will be weeks before they will show themselves here!

Lovely pictures for this lovely flowers. I remember discovering this flower during a trip to California in 1992 and then finding seeds in order to plant it in front of our house in Toronto. It grew quite nicely and it was so pretty.
