  1. Your photography is supbb…. a whole appreciation to you jane lurie.

  2. Of course, George was right all the way. Learn to read the light.

  3. My fav subject – water & sky. I rarely do b&w but love what you did here with that & also the peeps in foreground enjoying the view. Very Cool.

  4. I’m adding to all the thumbs up, kudos for the beautiful orange themed photographs and the lovely quotes, most of which i have not seen/heard before. Thank you, Jane 🙂

  5. FABULOUS shots!!! Loving the vineyards….looks impossible to capture something so amazing…..Great eye!!!

  6. Lovely images and quotes. The first vineyard image is my favorite.

  7. Wow, wow, wow – the 1st one is just fantastic.

  8. Beautiful landscape photos all captured with wonderful light. I love the quotes, too.

  9. Very beautiful images with very intelligence words! 🙂

  10. I love all of the photos. I have taken vineyard photos, but none so beautiful as yours. I really like the Big Sur photos, too. That was a great choice for the black and white. The sunset is gorgeous. We camped in Big Sur when we lived in California. Then I made my husband take me to a B&B in Cardiff by the Sea. We never made it to San Francisco. The photo of the clouds has beautiful colors. Clouds are often interesting to photograph. I know I have taken lots of cloud photos.

  11. Gorgeous images and lovely quotes! So glad to stumble over to your blog from the Daily Post photo challenge 🙂

  12. Poignant quotes to go along with your sweeping landscapes.

  13. I love the quote by Sam Abell. Photography, like painting, really does allow the viewer to make the scene their own.

  14. That first quote, simply the best but only second to your stunning photographs. Beautiful presentation Jane ~

  15. The quotes are all so appropriate for these stunning photos Jane.

  16. I enjoyed the shots, especially the first one. I don’t usually do dark shots on my own blog, but I really liked the effect you got with it. It’s something I need to experiment with more!

  17. Appreciation for Big Sur ~ indeed. Great series of photos Jane.

  18. Enjoyed your images, and the quotes…. Just a small thing, typo on Yusuf Harsh….Karsh, surely?

  19. Jane, all the shots are dramatic and each one held my eye a long time. I especially love the drama of the last one. One would never dream the bottom of the shot is all city.

  20. It took Gerard Manley Hopkins a lot of words to say what you captured in one shot. Bravo!

  21. Great shots Jane! I always enjoy your photos and the quotes you choose to present with them!

  22. Lovely rewards Jane – esp like the vineyard shot as well as the Abell quote. So true!

Love to hear what you think...
