Dave, I meant to answer about the crabs. I saw this on a beach in Australia. The small crabs create these little sand balls as they are digging their holes or tunnels, maybe. Some are in intricate splayed patterns in perfect little round balls–zillions of them. I was captivated! Talk about a lot of work…
