  1. Wonderful B/W collection and great use of light!

  2. I love the intensity and expressions you have caught as the Asian girls cluster together around the phone, just a delightful set of photos Jane.

  3. Beautiful photographs, Jane. I especially liked Ella, SE Asia school girls and High Museum, Atlanta. The last one had great interest for me with the shadows and different intensities of light and dark. I have scrolled through the photos several times and continue to enjoy them each time; discovering more details as I go! 🙂
I like the quotes you have added between the photos, too. Sincerely, Mary

  4. Gorgeous images in B&W! Great work, I’m your new follower! 🙂

  5. These are lovely black and white photographs, I particularly like the first one of the almost shining birches. As of a different world. 🙂

    • Hello Otto, I appreciate your reaction to these images, thank you very much. The Aspens are incredible and I especially love them in monochrome. It’s very peaceful when I am photographing them.

  6. Lovely photos throughout I of course love monochrome in general and you’ve done such a great job with all of these.

  7. Just gorgeous….love the girl’s eyes!! Loving black n white something very soulful bout it…
    great eye!!!

  8. There is always something serenely beautiful about a grove of aspens.

  9. Striking compositions. I especially liked the expressions you captured with Ella and the students.

  10. What an excellent set. I’ll have to finish that roll of B&W film in my 35 mm SLR.

  11. Lovely B&Ws Jane, and some fond memories among them too. Nicely done.

  12. I’ve decided one of the best skills an artist can practice is restraint and that is something I appreciate about your work.

I’m looking at the shadows in your images and wondering why so many photographers obliterate the tonal range at their disposal, while you choose to enlighten us to the infinite possibilities of being that reside in the shadows. Thank you!

  13. Very pretty. I especially like the child’s portrait. and the trees too. 🙂

  14. Love the Aspens

  15. All are beautiful, Jane, and I have to say that your shot in the High Museum is the most creative that I’ve seen. Love it!

  16. brilliant – I am lost in words – My compliments for such elegant introduction!!

  17. Love the photo of Ella.

Love to hear what you think...
