“Every city is a living body.” ~St. Augustine
“What is the city but the people?” ~ William Shakespeare
“A city is a place where there is no need to wait for next week to get the answer to a question, to taste the food of any country, to find new voices to listen to and familiar ones to listen to again.” ~ Margaret Mead
Great shot of Flinders Street Station from above. What would the bureaucrats say about your irreverent shot of the ‘Australian research and collections’ though? 🙂 Liked the other shots too, including the water colours photo. Cheers, Stephen.

Very nice picture — Contemplation. Was it just fortunate circumstance with the person viewing the art work? The color of his clothes, the pattern of the suspenders, the wood floor…. everything works together beautifully.

Hi LD- I tried to reply to you from the car on our drive to Victor Harbor but no service… we beat that– it got to 46C on the car thermometer! I do hope it cools on the coast. Now we’re definitely experiencing a sunburnt country… from indoors.

Hi Pauline, Hmmm, don’t think I will take the bait on that one as I have friends in both places. Honestly, each city has much to offer and we have loved spending time in both. And, you live in a fabulous area, too. How’s that for diplomacy? 🙂 I am glad you enjoyed this set of Melbourne shots– full of colors and interest as I walked around. Thanks so much!
