A beautiful series. Love the first for the light and composition, and the fisherman so nicely placed. The last one is a great study in tones.

Hi Jane,
Pete and I just returned from a trip to Austin and while there I spent time going through all your photographs. I find them truly amazing. They show your “soul” and as John Sanders stated you are an artist posing as a photographer. Know you must be having a wonderful summer. You are missed here. Ann

Very nice pictures! I wonder if the catch tastes any good. I always see people fishing right on the shore in San Diego but when I know how much gross stuff ends up right there in the ocean from the street sewers, I can’t imagine eating it…

Thanks, Milka. Not sure, although there were warnings about harvesting the mussels at this time of year. I assume most of the seafood we eat is from deeper ocean waters, although, there are always lots of people fishing around the shores of SF. Glad you enjoyed these images.

So many of your photos capture those ” single ones” on the beach or on the mountain top… You have alittle eagle eye for these scenes and I just love them. Linda

My favorite out of the set is Fishing Basket. I had to zoom in so I could check out that cool looking texture on the rocks. My focus started at the lower portion and then were led right up the rake handle to the bridge. My eyes were led all over the photo. I also like that lone seagull.

Hi Gordon, Wow– means a lot that Fishing Basket– a favorite– inspired you to look closer and that it drew your eye to explore. Thank you so much! ps– i was pleased that seagull was hanging out there.

Fabulous B&W, so effective against the massive rock features and the Golden Gate Bridge as the backdrop. Love these photographs. I lived in San Francisco all during the 1980’s and this series brings back many wonderful memories.
