  1. Beautiful images, Jane! Oh, and I’d just love to go Halong Bay. My wife and I were trying to convince the kids to go to Vietnam late last year (their first overseas vacation), but we didn’t make a compelling enough case. We all settled on the States and Canada instead – largely to see how well they travelled, truth be told. We’re hoping we’ll make it to Vietnam in the next couple of years now – fingers crossed 😉

  6. I love your site almost as much for the quotes as the images. Way to see, way to cite, Ms. Jane. My particular favorite was the lighthouse as I am a real sucker for them.

  7. What a lovely way to begin my day. Your photos and the quotes suspended my mind far away from here for a few moments.

  9. Jane,

I have greatly enjoyed every one of your posts … but this is my first comment. Your incredible eye for the beauty that is all around us is such a wonderful gift. Your first 2 photos of Halong Bay were especially inspiring since we leave on Wednesday for Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Your “lifelong passion for photography” shows through in all you do. Thanks.

  11. The serenity of these photos put me in a good place….thank you…I’m smiling…..and can’t wait to be by my ocean again….and see our island of LBI restored….by the way: years ago at Canyon Ranch I saw a saying on a wall that reminded me of Twain’s quote that you used here and it’s been one of my favorites…..it said: A ship is safe in the harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.
