  1. Beautiful images, Jane! Oh, and I’d just love to go Halong Bay. My wife and I were trying to convince the kids to go to Vietnam late last year (their first overseas vacation), but we didn’t make a compelling enough case. We all settled on the States and Canada instead – largely to see how well they travelled, truth be told. We’re hoping we’ll make it to Vietnam in the next couple of years now – fingers crossed 😉

    • Hi Distan- You will love it… a photographer’s dream. Hope you hit some great spots in the States and I bet your kids were excited. Hope you get to SE Asia. Thanks so much for your kind comments.

  2. Hey,

great photos overall, but the last one is outstanding. Keep up the good work =)

  3. Jane, great job of bringing so many beautiful parts of our planet together!! The photos & the quotes are really inspirational! Thanks for sharing! (You don’t have to reply!)

  4. I love these….so mysterious….what are they all doing out there….HMMMMM

  5. I love your site almost as much for the quotes as the images. Way to see, way to cite, Ms. Jane. My particular favorite was the lighthouse as I am a real sucker for them.

  6. What a lovely way to begin my day. Your photos and the quotes suspended my mind far away from here for a few moments.

  7. Lovely memories, great shots! Well done.

  8. Jane,

I have greatly enjoyed every one of your posts … but this is my first comment. Your incredible eye for the beauty that is all around us is such a wonderful gift. Your first 2 photos of Halong Bay were especially inspiring since we leave on Wednesday for Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Your “lifelong passion for photography” shows through in all you do. Thanks.

    • John, How lovely to read your comment. You will enjoy every moment of your trip to SE Asia and with your fabulous photographic eye, you’ll be thrilled with what you find. Thank you so much for your appreciation of these. Safe travels and I look forward to seeing your photos!

  9. Beautiful pictures. Simple as that, these pictures make me feel like i’m with you.
    Excellent.

  10. The serenity of these photos put me in a good place….thank you…I’m smiling…..and can’t wait to be by my ocean again….and see our island of LBI restored….by the way: years ago at Canyon Ranch I saw a saying on a wall that reminded me of Twain’s quote that you used here and it’s been one of my favorites…..it said: A ship is safe in the harbor, but that’s not what ships are for.
    Hugs,
    Barbie

    • Hi Barbie– I love your Twain quote…perfect. Happy that this brought you some good thoughts of your oceanside home with hopes that it will soon be whole again. Thanks so much for your comment. xoxo J

  11. These are just beautiful … transforming. Felt as if I were there. Thanks for sharing.

  12. Love these pictures…love boats, love being on the water, and the little girl in yellow especially because I love a rowboat! Just beautiful!

Love to hear what you think...
