The cold weather is making an appearance now in South Carolina. It got me thinking about autumn passing and a series I shot here a while ago on John’s Island of farmers harvesting pole beans. Pictured here is Arturo, who was kind enough to allow me to photograph him as he examined the beans and filled the bags. The pole beans were colorful, the day was bright and the company a pleasure.

nicely documented and cool to see his happy face 🙂

You made Arturo’s day! Love these earthy pics – my grandfather had a small farm and what I would give to have had him photographed in his old blue overalls! Linda
