It is amazing how nature’s details can take me away from life’s stresses. Here are some shots taken with my Canon point and shoot on my afternoon beach stroll.
“Lose yourself in nature and find peace.”~Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.” ~Lao Tzu
“Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair.” ~Kahlil Gibran

nicely done – for some constructive criticism – In my opinion, if you’d crop that first image down to just the “waves” in the sand it would be a much stronger image! More or less cut that image in half and let me know what you think! 🙂

Thanks Derrick! My nephew made a similar suggestion. Will do and look at some of the other shots of this scene as well . That’s why I love blogging for the constructive feedback. Thank you!

These are great. I especially love the red crab and trap. It’s almost abstract.

Hi Jane, I love that little crab, too. Funny, I was shooting the trap, enjoying the shadows and reflections and suddenly his claws popped up like he was defending himself– hadn’t seen him! He is about the size of a silver dollar. Very colorful fellow. Thanks so much!

Lines and Sand is great. The gradual change from dark to light as the eyes move from bottom to top makes the photo very visually appealing. Tidal Impressions is really good too. If the wave was a bit closer to the top third line that would be really cool.

Hi Gordon, Good point! It does break the rule of thirds a bit. Glad you like the leading lines of Lines and Sand- that caught my eye. Thanks, as always, for your insights. Happy Thanksgiving!
