While hiking in Torres Del Paine National Park in Chile, I came across these horses grazing. Given the branding marks on them, there must have been a ranch nearby, although there was little evidence of civilization in this area. Just beautiful expanses of mountains, flowers and color. The round, yellow mounds of flowers are actually full of thorns and our guide told us they call them “mother-in-law cushions”. Funny.
